Marshall had been slightly disappointed that he didn't have two kids named Totally and Freaking Awesome show up this weekend but he didn't let it show when he held class on Tuesday.

"Hey, guys. Sorry about last week. Gremlins," Marshall said, shrugging. "They do crazy things to you."

"Um, so, our final is coming up and, I'm sorry to say this, I'm gonna give you an actual assignment. Crazy, right?" Marshall said, snickering. "Don't worry it's not going to be difficult. All I want you to do is bring in your favorite food. You can make it yourself or buy it, I don't care which. Just bring enough of it in to share with the class and then say a few words about why it's awesome. That's it."

Yeah, like Marshall was going to give a tough final. Grading papers would be boring.

"As for today I figure you guys could use an easy class after dealing with kids all weekend so I decided to share my two favorite foods with you: pie and cheeseburgers," he said. "I know we've already done it before but they're my favorite foods and I'm not about to lie to you just to give the class some variety."

Also he really wanted to eat more pie.

"So there's all sorts of moddable pies and burgers on the buffet table," Marshall said, pointing. "Dig in and think about what food you want to bring in for the final. For the record, I wouldn't say no to more pie."

He loved pie.

This weekend had been... interesting. The one thing Anemone had ever actually wanted was a family of her own, and it was nice knowing that somewhere there was a her that got that wish.

Even if it hurt that there hadn't been a little kid with brown hair and blue eyes like its father.

So today was spent ignoring her usual library duties in favor of reading the book on genetic engineering, trying to figure out how an Abeni might have 'sprung out of a flower pot.'

At least she knew the child came by her crazy-steak naturally.

It was best not to ask why Lily was dressed in full on winter gear today.

"We were going to talk about high school age today, but it kinda seems like last night was traumatic for a few people- again- and it's not going to be on your final because, well, you are high school kids. If you didn't ace that part, I'd be worried, I don't care how adult you all think you are. What we're going to do instead is skip that. I want to discuss what you guys learned this weekend with all the kids, and whether you think you understand things better now.

"And then you can take some time to review or your final. Yes, there's going to be a test. Nothing scary, but just make sure you actually listened, took notes, or stole your neighbor's notes."
