"Welcome back," Steve said. "I hope you all enjoyed your break, and that everyone is minus any new regrets and not too horribly sunburnt. Today I'd like to talk about peer pressure. Peer pressure is a terrible thing. You're sitting there, minding your own business, and then your so-called 'friends' tell you 'everyone else is doing it' or 'you'll be a loser if you don't,' and the next thing you know you're wearing a suit that cost more than should ever be spent on clothes and fighting a Nazi made out of bees in the middle of a Las Vegas casino. So it's bad, is what I'm saying. Don't do it. And when people try it on you, whether they're trying to get you to have sex or get a tattoo or buy stupidly expensive clothes or register with the government, tell them to get lost.

"Your assignment for today is to resist peer pressure. You can get into pairs or groups, whatever works well for you, and one of you will resist peer pressure applied by the others, who are trying to convince you to eat a bacon cookie. Have fun."

Feeling pretty grumpy as he clung to his coffee and open the library, Cal was wondering if they could have their vacation back. Please? Pretty please? With a cherry on top.

Sighing, he resolved to try to stave off the back to school blues by doodling a little more in his notebook and trying to make something out of all his little scribbled spurts of inspiration.

"Good morning," Jean-Paul said to his students. "I have provided coffee and doughnuts, as if this were a real business. Please, enjoy. Today we are going to talk about management. Good management is critical to any company's success. There are several different types of managers and leaders, as demonstrated by The Leadership Grid," which was displayed on the wall. "All of these types have different strengths and weaknesses, and are effective in different sorts of situations. You may read about them in your handout. Then, you should decide which style best suits you, and what sort of environment you think that style would be most effective in. Begin. And enjoy the doughnuts." They should be Jean-Paul had left some for them, really.

Dana was nice today. She set out coffee for the students, figuring those who had to wake up for a second period class on the Monday after spring break might need a little jump-start, so this way they didn't fall asleep and she didn't have to drop a book on the desk near their head or something. That would be just embarrassing for all involved.

"Welcome back, everyone. It sounds like you all had a very interesting week, and hopefully everyone at the very least has sobered up by now," she began, "especially since I'm going easy on you. Let's face it, most of you are only going to be half-paying attention to me today anyway. So I'm breaking from the syllabus and instead giving you all a project due next week. Today we're going to be looking at some of the camera equipment that gets used.

"I have one here that you can check out and try out," she said, patting a camera affixed to a tripod. "You break it, you buy it, and you may have to get down and give me 20. Also, we have smaller, hand-held cameras that you're going to take with you for the week. Find and record some interesting footage for next week's class. When we work on editing, that's what we're going to use to splice things together. Get some action footage, interview someone, just bring me something. It doesn't need to be sports-related, either, so though if you bring me something that we can put in our broadcast, that's a bonus. The only rules are: don't use these in class without explicit permission as I don't want the other teachers to hate me, and do not- do not- use these for anything I'd have to take to the principal. There's a reason you got these after spring break."

The name of the club was sprawled out on the chalkboard and Turtle was sitting at the makeshift boardroom table with her gavel and a donut. There were plenty of donuts and coffee available, as usual, with the addition of a macaroon here and there, since Turtle felt the coconut would be a nice touch after getting back from the cruise. Which, actually, was going to be their topic today.

"Okay," Turtle started, "I know most, if not all, of use just got back from a really amazing spring break vacation, compliments of our school. I was thinking that maybe something we could do was figure out how in the world this school finances something like that, but I gave up on that about two years ago, because it's kind of staggering and a little...incomprehensible, to be honest. It, like time travel, is simply not something that can be pondered too long without confusing yourself too much or making your head explode. So, instead, I was thinking we could just have a discussion about the cruise ship itself as a money maker. I'm sure none of us were sitting there, thinking, 'boy, I wonder how much revenue goes into this, or that"--well, Turtle was--"but try to go back and come up with things that would have helped the Crown Princess be a successful business venture."

"I, for one, couldn't help noticing a casino on board. That's brilliant, right there, especially if it pays out well. If people are on a big boat, and they're gambling and drinking and having a good time, and they win a lot of money, they're likely to just got and spend that newly earned income, right there on that boat, which means what happens to that money? Goes right on back to the ship." Turtle shook her head. "Brilliant, really. Anything else you can think of?"

It might be obvious from Angela's entire demeanor, that today was not one of her best days. The argument with Hannibal yesterday was still weighing heavily on her mind, and she really didn't want to talk about her current 'married' status anymore.

"I didn't really get a chance to do much planning," Angela admitted. "Spring Break and everything. But I pulled together some of this Plasticine stuff, and some plain pottery clay so we could do a bit of sculpture."

"If you don't want to do that, that's fine. There are cookies and other art materials for you." She waved a hand in a vague 'get to it' gesture.

When the students walked in today, they'd find the Danger Shop looking a little larger than usual. Due to the small plastic playground on one end of the playroom they usually found themselves in.

"How are we all doing?" Lily asked. "I know it's Monday for some of you, and it's early, and you don't want to be here. Well, suck it up because you're gonna be active today.

"Today we're going to be learning about play," she went on, passing down the handouts. "Yeah, I know, it's fun, but it serves developmental and educational purposes, too. The other week we were talking about fine and gross motor skills. Running and jumping and climbing trees walking, things like that, work the bigger muscles. Smaller things, like block, puzzle pieces, those work the fine motor skills. And beyond physical development, there are educational toys. The old Speak and Says- don't tell me you don't know what those are, I will feel old- the Leap Frog things, they're a way for kids to learn. Because even now, wouldn't you prefer to learn while you're actually having fun? You've got to keep their interest somehow. There's also the social aspect. Play is where a lot of kids learn simple things like sharing. I mean, I'm going to set you guys off to play, and let's face it, you're all going to probably pair up and talk the whole time.

"Hey, that's a great segue there, really. On one side of the playroom you have the playground setting. On the other you have have puzzles and games and dolls. Don't act like you're too cool for it, everyone needs to get a little silly now and then. Just think about what a kid would be learning doing whatever activity you pick. Is it something where you can involve yourself with other people? Do you need to work at problem solving? By the end of class you can just write a quick handwavy paragraph on what you think. And hopefully this will wake you up for the rest of your day, and if it doesn't... well, I tried."

A very tanned Anakin leaned a little uncomfortably against his desk as he waited for the students to take their seats.

"Today we talk about diligence, temperance, and forgiveness," he said quietly, "and we're going to use examples from the midterm exam to do so."

He flipped the hologram to life, focusing on a shot of Palpatine's face. "The goal was to save this man, the democratically chosen leader of your galaxy, at the cost--if necessary--of your own lives. After the first dozen or so droids shooting at you, you certainly had the option of retreating and leaving the mission for someone else to complete. So when does diligence turn to foolhardiness?"

The holocam switched to footage of two Jedi, blue blades flashing, taking on an older man wielding a red lightsaber. The battle was moving at least three times as fast as the exercise had. The older Jedi went ricocheting into a wall, then the second one, fire in his eyes, closed in on their opponent. A few moments later the Sith dropped to his knees with two lightsabers held to his throat.

The Jedi wielding the lightsabers looked an awful lot like their teacher.

"Temperance," Anakin said softly. "Do you kill him now? He's dangerous. He held the head of a galaxy-wide government hostage. He injured your partner. He certainly tried to kill you first. Or do you capture him and leave him to the whims of the courts?"

He shook his head. "Finally, forgiveness. You save the chancellor, at great personal expense, only to discover he's not the kind of man you thought he was. Your act of heroism has managed to make the situation at home much, much worse. How do you forgive yourself for it? Can you forgive the others who put you into that position?"
