"What up? Welcome to class. Today we're going to talk about the most important and life-saving of food groups: fast food," Marshall said. His food pyramid may have been a bit skewed compared to everyone else's. "Fast food is there for you the morning after a long night of drinking, it's there for you when you've been on the road for hours, it's there for you when it's 2 a.m. and you don't feel like cooking for yourself. Clearly it's the greatest thing that's ever been invented. Even in ancient Rome they depended on food vendors for many of their meals since many didn't have kitchens of their own to cook in."

He paused.

"As a lawyer, I feel the need to tell you that I got that from Wikipedia and cannot be held responsible for the validity of that statement," Marshall said. "So if you share that fact at a party and get owned by some fast food guru then don't blame me."

Mmmm burgers and fries )

Tuesday found Anemone at work, sprawled out on the floor of the library as she went through mountains of LFO blueprints as she made notations in an open notebook beside her in an attempt to break down the physics behind the trapar waves into something resembling English.

She was going to give Gavin something useable to program a realistic LFO in the flight sim, even if it made her head hurt for a week.

As usual, everything was out and ready for usage in the music room as Chad got set up for club. There were a few snacks, too, but he wasn't paying them much attention. It was kind of hard to play guitar and eat pretzels at the same time.

"So, I was thinking," he told the club, "that maybe something we can do is have a few weeks were we each take a turn talking about the kind of music we like. We can use today to volunteer for that kind of stuff, you know? And we've also got to talk a little about when might be good dates for the karaoke contest for this semester."

There was a sort of dragging pause.

"And then we can just play and stuff like usual today."

So very, very low-key.
