She smiled, generously, at all of them. "As a final note, I met some of your friends and family this weekend. They were all delightful, and I promise you most sincerely, I did not say anything of which you would disapprove."

The Home Ec classroom was filled with all sorts of things today. Ned himself didn't much like Halloween for personal reasons but he knew it was a pretty big (and candy filled) holiday so he'd decided on a few Halloween things for today.

"Hey guys," he said, hands stuffed into pockets. "So, tomorrow's Halloween and I hope everyone has a costume that's going and is ready for the sugar rush of your lives. Today, I thought we'd get a start on the sweets since it's my favorite major food group. I've got tons of moddable ingredients to make a few Halloween things. There's lists and instructions on the table. Go wild, have fun, make spooky things."

He turned to start cooking something before pausing.

"Um, no scaring me with anything. I scare easily. It's a proven fact."

Proven by who he didn't say. He just nodded and gestured to the tables and ingredients.

Hopefully, everyone would get the message to meet in the sewing area of the home ec classroom for today's meeting rather than the usual classroom, because that was where Turtle was, with a bunch of supplies and papers and, of course, some holiday thematic apple cider and doughnuts.

"Hey, guys," she said. "So, I was thinking that we should probably take a look into the process of actually making a tent before we decide on how we want to produce this thing. So I went and found some instructions and some materials and thought we could give it a try, see how we can manage it, and go from there."

As she handed out the papers, she also added, "I...am not sure how good I can be with a sewing machine and a needle and thread would take forever. However, I would like to throw out there that I have a very good friend back in Westingtown who is a very good seamstress. Maybe we could even employ her to help with some of the technical stuff, or whatever. But let's give it a try, yeah?"

"Hey guys," Murdock told the students once they had settled in, "I know the syllabus says we're supposed to cover avivators today, but I think we can do the regular class lecture on that next week. In the meantime, this film covers one of the most noteable avivators, Howard Hughes. So just chill and relax."

He even brought popcorn and other moddable snacks and drinks.

"Oh, and in two weeks' from now, we'll have a field trip!"

"Once you've defined the problem you need to develop an action plan," Nathan said as he passed around that week's handouts. "Your action plan is the steps you are going to take in order to solve this problem. Today I want you to get into groups and develop an action plan to solve a problem.

"The problem is this: As a group, you want to convince me not to give you guys a final exam. Put your heads together - not literally - and come up with a plan for how you're going to convince me to do that. For the record, the odds that I'm going to agree with you are pretty small, but for the sake of the class let's see what you come up with."

Nathan grinned at them. "I'm here if you have any questions."

Sam was in the library a little earlier than usual, taking the time to actually enjoy his coffee, instead of trying to inhale it. Today's project, he decided, was going to be checking the library shelves for "missing" books.

Well, all the shelves outside of Special Collections, of course. He didn't want to go missing as well.

Today's pastries and coffee were accompanied by a big bowl of Halloween candy. There were also some orange-and-black sugar cookies.

Rikku was totally in the Halloween spirit.

As students filtered into the Danger Room, they'd find themselves faced with a dark room, save for some candle light. The air smelled of soothing incense and the floor was littered with soft pillows and mats. The typical locker room doors were off to one side, masked from obvious view by a decorative screen to keep the serene atmosphere of the room intact.

And then there was the large man sitting cross-legged in the back of the room. "Today we're meditating. Get your uniform and take a seat. Sit cross-legged with your hands resting on your knees, palms open toward the sky. Falling asleep means you're doing it too well." Ronon always meditated too well. Lucky for everyone there was no Teyla here to hit them with sticks.
