Ronon had been watching too much TV last night while hiding hanging out in his hotel room away from all the weirdly genderswapped folks. The last thing he needed to see was McKay or Sheppard prancing about in dresses.

Which was the reasoning behind the Danger Shop looking like a large movie theater for gym class. "Today we're watching the sporting movie, Blades of Triumph. Pay attention, 'cause after the movie you're gonna do a write up to tell me how men and women dancing around on ice is a real sport. Like I hear it is - at least on Earth. Hope you brought a snack." Ronon had popcorn, but he wasn't likely to share.

For some strange reason, Tyler seemed to be in an exceptionally good mood this morning. He all but bounced into the classroom, hair still damp from the shower, and smiled at the students as they took their seats.

He didn't normally smile a lot. That was ... odd.

"Hey," he finally said, once the students were all at the lab tables. "First, my friend from last week is back on his island, so you're stuck with just me again." Which was truer than it had been in many years.

"Today we're going to be less with the big booms, more with the gross." He held up a vial of green gooey stuff, which he would play with -- stretching, and letting it drip off his hands -- for the remainder of his lecture. "This is polyvinyl slime. Technically, when you make this, what you're doing is forcing borate ions -- Borax -- to cross-link with poly chains from the polyvinyl alcohol solution. This handout does a good job of explaining all of it -- let me just go through it with you." He did.

"And now, we make goop." Talking through it, he demonstrated dissolving PVA into a solution over a Bunsen burner, letting it cool briefly, and adding in a bit of the Borax. The mixture seized into a slime. "You can also add food coloring to the PVA if you want it to be pretty colors, if that's what you're into."

Once he was done talking, he gestured at the lab tables. "And now you get to try this. Use more PVA to make it thicker, less to make it runnier. Let me know if you have questions."

Nathan had set up for Student Council with a lunch of pizza. He was all about the health food.

"Congratulations to all of you for winning," Nathan said. "Welcome to your first student Council meeting. We have a few orders of business that need to be taken care of today. The first is electing a president from one of our two seniors. Next you'll need to start brainstorming what you want to do for Homecoming, which will be the weekend of October 11th. We can also hit on anything anyone else would like to suggest.

"Let's get started."

"Okay, change of plan." He'd given up working on this week's program in exchange for trying to figure out how exactly he'd become a woman. He got carried away. "Genghis Khan will join us later in the semester. Instead, after yesterday's little oddity, let's talk about that. Pick a historical event that you know of. Doesn't have to be on Earth or this universe. Something from home if you'd like. Anything you want. Now have a good think about it and I want you to tell the class what you think would have gone differently if the people involved had their genders swapped. Male, female, none of the above, all of the above, any gender you can think of. Would Shakespeare have been so popular under a king instead of a queen? Would the Roman Empire have grown so far under a female leader? Would it have fallen?"

At the end of class, he added, "Wear something you can run in next week."

Buffy was late today. Much like her mun. Buffy had spent too long reveling in girly things, like curling irons and makeup and cleavagey shirts that made her feel much much better about having her real body back.

Hey, you spend the day looking like a boybander and see what you do the next day.
