Phys Ed: Week 4, Period 2 (Fri. 9/26)

Ronon had been watching too much TV last night while hiding hanging out in his hotel room away from all the weirdly genderswapped folks. The last thing he needed to see was McKay or Sheppard prancing about in dresses.

Which was the reasoning behind the Danger Shop looking like a large movie theater for gym class. "Today we're watching the sporting movie, Blades of Triumph. Pay attention, 'cause after the movie you're gonna do a write up to tell me how men and women dancing around on ice is a real sport. Like I hear it is - at least on Earth. Hope you brought a snack." Ronon had popcorn, but he wasn't likely to share.

Movie days were always appreciate after something busy like yesterday. Hannibal put his head down on his desk and watched.

Helen felt a little bad about not being in her male body. But after all, she did rather like her own, so she supposed it would do.

Gwen didn't pay much attention to the movie due to sulking about not being a boy for just a little while longer, she'd been really hot.

Man, a movie?

Ino was just going to sulk a lot. Movie days were so boring.

Some of the humor was a little ew for Francine, but she was never going to complain about a movie day. Aside from wishing she'd known so she could bring popcorn.

Ichigo was trying to decide if this was really a movie or just a Fandom joke.

Eve just sat and watched the movie, wondering if Ronon was possibly smoking crack this class.

Rodney was so relieved to have woken up himself this morning that they could have been running an obstacle course in class today and he wouldn't have complained. Well, not much, anyway. Regardless, he had no problem sitting back and watching a movie.

However, the lack of explosions and spaceships soon had him snoozing. It wasn't long before his head was tipped back against the theater seat and he was snoring loudly.

Lion-o watched the whole movie without dozing off. He gave it a 5.5 with deductions for going overboard on the sequins.

Summer had no complaints about movie day. Especially in Phys Ed.

Dick couldn't help but think that it was a little suspicious that the class wasn't expected to put on their gym uniforms for movie day. Was Ronon alright? Was something bad going to happen to the class before the end of the day?

Some might call this line of thinking 'paranoid.' Dick called it 'being prepared.'

If Turtle looked miserable, it was because she was miserable. Even if she did have Student Council later, she woke up that morning with the worst toothache imaginable. Or maybe it just seemed all the more horrible because it had been so long since she'd had one, but, man.

At least there was a movie. She was glad for that, because it saved her the trouble of having to mumble out her excuse to get out of physical activity through her mouth full of cotton balls soaked lightly in bourbon to ease the pain.

Sokka spent the whole movie laughing. Even when it wasn't appropriate.

Hannibal wrote an explanation detailing that it was still a sport because there were awesome falls and sometimes the partners dropped each other and then you get to watch them bitch each other out when they think the cameras aren't rolling.

Hannibal thought that was a good explanation.

Helen... totally couldn't see it, but managed to write up something about the skill required to do those things on ice.

Gwen wrote about how the fact that they where doing all of that while more or less standing on knives meant it counted as a sport.

If they had to have paperwork on a movie day, Francine was glad it was an easy one like this.

Anything where people do stuff that would make me fall down and break my butt if I tried it should be considered a sport, she wrote.

Eve managed to come up with some kind of an explanation about how it required effort to do and therefore counted.

Yeah, she didn't know, either.
