The first door they went through -- out of Lulu's office, where they'd been finalizing some plans for class -- led them not into the familiar hallway, but into the Perk. Juli was, quietly, of the opinion that this was rather convenient. It did not make up for the hour and a half of time she’d spent earlier trying to get to the school. But coffee did have a tendency to make things better.

After grabbing a coffee each and enough muffins for the class -- sometimes, Fandom weirdness had its advantages -- the door from the Perk led them into the salle.

The salle led them into the gym. Juli, by now, was torn between sighing and muffling her laughter. Lulu gave Juli a look, and then directed a Look at the ceiling. "Don't. Even," she said, and then opened the door leading out of the gym. The next step had them at the pool.

"Much better." Of course, the delays had everything timed perfectly so that the AV equipment they'd arranged for was just finished being set up.

"Today, we've got a movie for you," Juli said, sipping her coffee and supremely unconcerned about what the movie was about. "Enjoy your muffins. We'll be back here if you need us." Drinking coffee. Mmmmm, coffee.

[What do you get when two teachers find themselves with a sudden and insurmountable lack of inspiration? This horrible class. How did we both end up with no inspiration at the same time? I only wish I knew.

When the students joined they class they would see a gigantic person sized chessboard along with chess pieces that dwarfed even the tallest in the class. Yondaime walked out from in between two of the pieces and smiled. "Chess is a game that has been played for centuries and just about every culture has their own version of it. It teaches the player strategy, when to hold back, when to move forward, when sacrifice is necessary, how to plan…" He paused and shrugged. "It's been used as a metaphor for real life and so today you'll be playing the game with yourself as the pieces. I would like everyone to break up into two teams for each side of the board; you're obviously not going to replace all the pieces. One person on each side will be the captain; it's up to you all to vote who and that person will order the other pieces around the board, but bear in mind to think through all your choices carefully or you'll kill your classmates."

Well not literally, but it did put a sense of responsibility to the role of leader.

"I've included a packet on how certain chess pieces move and the basics on how to win a game. Try to keep everything clean and I'll have a first aid kit over here in case anyone gets hurt. Obviously the point of it is not to get hurt and to avoid loosing as many of your people as you can while capturing the King of the opposing force, but it may be more difficult than you realize."

"Good morning," John greeted the class as they filed into the danger shop turned garage. "Today we're going to focus on the battery. The thing you will most likely need to do in regards to a car battery is jumpstart it. Though it doesn't hurt to know how to change your battery either." He demonstrated both procedures.

"Really, neither's that hard," he said as he stepped back and wiped his hands on a grease cloth, "as long as you pay attention to details and do things in the right order so you don't end up with sparkage." He looked around. "Your turn."

"We were going to talk blunt objects today," Kerrigan said to the class, looking distinctly annoyed. For one, all the sharp edges of her wings were covered in bubblewrap, and so was most of her hair.

She was not amused. "However, since the island seems to have this need to intervene with my plans, we're just going to take said blunt objects and divest them of bubblewrap."

She pointed at a series of staffs in the corner. They were all wrapped in the stuff. As were the tables, the board, and at least part of the floor. "Keep working until the bubbles go away," she muttered, "I don't care how you do it. Just get it out of my sight. See it as a practical exam."
