The Danger Shop was made to look up some of the rockier parts of the Preserve at night when the students came in.

"Good morning," John greeted them. "We've covered zombies already, today we're going to cover another type of walking dead. Mummies.

"There was a mummy problem here about two years ago. It started with someone reading from the wrong book -- which is more common in causing bad things to happen than you might think. Basically, if a book looks creepy, especially if it's in a language unfamiliar to you, discretion may be the better part of valour." He smiled slightly. "There's a reason we limit access to the special collections in the library.

"Anyhow, while trying to avoid inadvertently summoning bad things by reading the wrong book is the lesson I want you to take from this class, we're going to focus on what you have to do when something is summoned." John grinned wolfishly. "Namely kick its butt. Have at it as you would."

On each student's desk today was a standard French phrasebook. "I am now," Jean-Paul announced, "going to trust in your good sense. I fully expect this experiment to backfire on us all, of course, but we will see." He held up one of the phrasebooks. "Your assignment for this week is to study any part of the language contained in this book we have not covered in class so far, that you feel might be useful if you were, say, suddenly dropped on a street corner in Montreal. I am, as always, available to answer any questions you might have."

Bridge wanders in to the library, a bit early as usual. After, of course, a few stops in town for library-day necessities. Yesterday had been... weird, for reasons tied to but not directly related to the whole girls-turning-into-guys thing, and he's hoping for a nice normal day to banish any lingering weirdness.

Class met in an ordinary classroom today; Kerrigan was seated-- well, leaning, really-- against the desk, her arms crossed. Over her breasts. Protectively.

For no reason, really.

"We've only got a class left until exam time, kids--" Which meant two weeks-- three weeks? until graduation, crap, "So today's time for a review and discussion of the past months' work before the grand final practice next week. You'll be getting your handwavey, if necessary sim stats back. Go over stuff, see what you might need to improve on, and you'll get a 30% grade on that material."

She pushed forward-- away from the desk. "Secondly, we've been dealing primarily with my universe, here. I feel it's a good learning exercise, not to mention good for the pushing whole 'working together' issue, if you all would find a partner and discuss warfare in your world. As it is, in contrast to the other person's, and in contrast to the class material."

Harriet was sitting at her desk today, working through a pile of paperwork.

Once everyone was seated, she looked up. "You'll find some papers on your desk. I'd like everyone to take the test and see what sort of personality you are. Once you've done that, compare your results with your classmates, and identify any advantages you think your type might have over the others when resolving a personal conflict."
