Richie did not look well. "Alright, I'm going to plagarize borrow an idea from one of my coworkers today."

And don't complain, there isn't a real midterm. )

Limping into the library this morning to open it and get everything all set for the day, Adah had to take a moment, after sinking down into the chair behind the desk, to listen. She sat up as straight as she could; the stillness to accompany it was much easier. And she listened, carefully, then closed her eyes as if to listen a little better, and then breathed out a soft, happy contended sigh.

No sound here except the sound of books, and it was such a relief. Adah was quickly discovering that, for such quiet creatures, rabbits made a hell of a lot of noise, and to be all day without the sound of teeth gnawing relentlessly on nearly anything it could get its incisors on was bliss. A few minutes would have been bliss, so she was feeling pretty relieved at the moment.

As if the school heard the principal's announcement about the angels, the doors of the computer lab were wide open, all the lights and computers on to welcome the students who might come research.

[There aren't angels in the computer lab...really]

Mohinder was standing at the front of the classroom, conducting a discreet headcount as everyone arrived.

After a few moments he began, "Science - and scientists - cannot exist in the world alone. We are surrounded by a mesh of ideas and culture that shape scientific thought as much as any great discovery." Mohinder gave a shrug. "All too often science is distorted in fiction, whether by a twisting or complete fabrication of the facts, a demonisation of the scientists involved or changes to the procedures involved."

A pause and a grin. "You learn to live with it. Or you never watch a film again."

Mohinder turned to the class. "What are the worst fictional examples of science have you seen? Would you change things for scientific accuracy, and if so, how?"

OCD waiting is up!

Anakin stalked into the room and shut the door firmly behind him.

"Today we talk about wrath," he said. "There's something very human about giving in to our temper," he said. "It's freeing, uncomplicated."

He paused. "At least at that moment. The repercussions are always waiting."

He waved a hand and the holoprojector flipped to life. Frozen in time was a young Jedi with two lightsabers at the neck of an older, clearly defeated enemy.

"This was me," he said, pointing at the young man. "And that older man was evil and threatened my family. It didn't make the choice I made--to kill him while he knelt there--any less wrong."

He looked around the classroom making eye contact with every student before continuing. "Wrath is very, very tempting. It urges you to listen to that dark little voice inside of you--to cut loose, live without consequences."

He pointed at the holo again. "There are always consequences. This moment has stayed with me, made me the person I am. It wasn't a positive influence."

Anakin stopped pacing. "What would it take for you to get to that hazy edge? And more importantly, how do you stop yourself from giving in?" He raised an eyebrow. "And how will what I'm telling you affect your decision to not go out after statues like a bunch of idiots?"

The Danger Shop resembled a normal classroom today, with a screen up the front. Bond stood up the front of class looking quite sober and somewhat distracted.

"Change in plans today," he said, after the class had arrived. "Instead of the scheduled class on car repair, we will instead be watching Changing Who You Are Is The Only Way To Bag Your Classmates. Please ignore the actual message of the film, and concentrate on the scenes involving the cars instead."

[ooc: wait for OCD up!]
