Public Speaking, Wednesday, March 12

Richie did not look well. "Alright, I'm going to plagarize borrow an idea from one of my coworkers today."

"And don't complain, there isn't a real midterm. Just let me know one thing you learned this semester. Or didn't learn, and think you should have."

((OOC- Sorry. I just got dumped a pile of stuff to do in RL--sorority, school, and roommates are driving me completely insane. Ugh. Sorry.))

"This semester," Valentine said, oh so very smoothly, "I learned that if you just never stop speaking, then perhaps they'll think you've known what you're talking about the entire time. Or, at the very least, you'll talk whoever is listening into so many circles that they'll finally just give up and pick one of the hundred points you've made and simply run with it. Rather like a gryphon, really. They're so very tell-me-a-riddle, none-shall-pass, a-herring-doesn't-whistle, but if you just grin and keep giving excuses, the poor stupid beasts will sit there and stare at you stupidly while you run for your life. The answer to my riddle is still a secret, anyhow. I don't imagine if the beast was still around today, he'd have figured that out, yet. And honestly, now, who in their right mind would paint a herring and nail it to the wall, anyhow? Herrings are much better when eaten, I should think. If you can catch one. They fly, you know. Sneaky creatures, those herring. I never did trust them. They're always smiling."

"I learned the importance of sounding like you know what you're talking about, even if you don't."

Pfft. Does too! Just not with these pesky RL people.

Just a note of the lack of Turtle for disappearedness, but, well, you knew that already. ;)
