Dale has set up the main campire area to actually be... lots of little campfire areas.

There's also a heap of moddable food and cooking equipment sitting on the picnic tables.

"Today kids we are going to be making ourselves some dinner," Dale said with a grin. "But you are going to have to work for it."

He pointed to the fire rings around them. "You're going to cook over an open fire. A fire that you have to start without any matches, lighters, spells or what not. So come on kids! Let's see what you got!"

The school is very nearly almost rebuilt. Yes, there were still things to add, to polish, to touch up but it's standing again and that's good enough for Fraser.

"Good morning," he greeted. "We've made excellent progress and the school will be finished before the new semester arrives in just a few short weeks. I want to thank you all for your hard work and dedication this summer. It has been most appreciated and the school will be all the better for it. Now, gear up and let's get going."

The class met back in the Danger Shop today per the handwavy note Aly sent out to her class.

"Finally, next week we're going to look at explosives that aren't quite so...chemical.  Magical explosives or those from another world - if you any of you guys are familiar with a different way of blowing things up and have been not using it at my request during this class, now's your chance.  Find me after class and let me know, okay?  I'd love to have you demonstrate.

[OOC:  Mmm, tl'dr.  Let me or Aly know if you have other explodey goodies for next week and please wait for the OCD is up!]

Umbridge sounded markedly happier as she starts the announcements for this morning. "Good morning, children. I do hope you all are having a wonderful day. I know I am."

She didn't say that a day's worth of discipline tended to make her giddy. "Those that came to visit me yesterday, I do hope you'll think twice about breaking my very fair rules and regulations from now on. We wouldn't want a repeat of yesterday now would we?"

She giggled loudly into the speakers. "Today, though, I would like to see Peter Petrelli, Namine, Gavin Darklighter and Phoebe Halliwell to report to my office as soon as possible. We all need to have a little chat."

"And now, dear children, I would like to introduce educational decree number three. I am now instituting a curfew for all students that are living in the dormitories. You must, I repeat, you must be in your room and in your bed by 11pm FST or risk being punished. This means no wandering the halls, no lounging in the common room, no gathering in town, no nothing. This is for your safety, children. This curfew goes into effect immediately. Thank you and have a wonderful day."

[Feel free to react! I wholly expect the curfew decree to get broken mercilessly. Those that were called to the office, if you can't make it, don't worry. We can reschedule.]

As the students entered the Danger Shop, the lab might have looked less foreboding than in previous weeks. There were chairs set up for the students and a pull down screen in the front, but Prof Tomoe was behind his desk, nursing what looked like a bad hangover. He waved the students into their chairs without getting up.

"A bit of a change from the syllabus today," he said. "We'll leave the hands on work for next week a take a bit of a break." He pulled out a VHS tape, and popped it into the projector set up at the back of the room. "Instead, we'll be watching a classic movie titled Plan 8 from the Outer Solar System. I want you to take notes while watching it, and write me a paragraph describing where they went wrong at the end of class."

After laughing a lot at Umbridge's latest announcement, Isabel went to open the library.

"Hey, guys," Hannelore said, waving as everyone filed in today. "So, we're deviating from the syllabus today, and do something that I love."

She gestured to an array of boxes. "Nothing I love more than having something where the pieces line up in an exact pattern. If you guys lose any of the pieces, I'll kill you. But have fun! Play together. See how fast you can get it done, because seriously, if you keep it all organized like how you did with the M&Ms? It goes so much faster."

[Sorry for the kind of lame class and deviation from the syllabus. I got slapped in the face with a fairly major RL thing last night and my brain's still not quite up to fake teaching. But the puzzles are fun and addictive and I've done like four already, so have fun.]
