Fraser's back out at the construction site today. He's put up a yellow piece of poster board with the word SAFETY on it in lieu of Mr. Harris' non presence this week. He had to keep the spirit around somehow.

"Please equip yourselves and get to work," Fraser said, nodding. "Safety first!"

As the class gathered around the main campfire today, they may have noticed a large amount of boxes and racks of clothes and different props.

Aly was waiting for them to find seats around the campfire before starting.  "Today, if the massive amounts of costumes and props didn't give it away, we're going to be talking about disguises.  The whole point of a disguise is to be unnoticeable in the company that you're keeping.  To blend in so that you don't occasion comments like 'I've never seen that person before' and 'I wonder who invited her.'  It's not a matter of satisfying your ego by 'standing out' so everyone notices you.  It's a matter of getting your job done without undue risk to yourself, any of your contacts or your employer."

Aly grinned.  "I love disguises.  They're one of my favourite things about spying.  What you all need to do today is create one using the costumes, wigs, makeup, and props we have here.  You can create it to go with the persona you made up last week or something completely different.  Help each other put together a disguise, a cover, and the reason for the disguise then come show me.  And I'd like to see these all be a step beyond a 'someone else in the class' this time.  Disguise is one thing, successfully mimicking someone that people know well?  Is a step far beyond that."

"So go ahead, work together to create a disguise and a cover story and then let me see what you come up with."

Mr. Rogers looked around at his students as they filed in, his expression somber. Once they were all present and accounted for, he began to speak. "So, last week, I asked what you think would be the right thing to do when your loyalties are split between two nations or factions. And now I'm going to talk about what you should do if you find that somehow, your nation has gone wrong...

((Most of the text of this lesson (everything under the cut) taken from one of the Spider-Man: Civil War titles. Frakked if I know which one, as all my books are currently boxed up in a closet, and there were like three. If I had to place bets I'd say Spectacular.

Er, how about I post this in the right place this time?))

Anakin never bounced. It was undignified. But he was awfully smile-y today.

And no, he wouldn't explain why.

The flight simulator had been reconfigured again--this time to something that should seem a bit more familiar to Earth-based students: The F-16 Flying Falcon.

Anakin clasped his hands behind his back and began speaking. "This is one of the aircraft used by the militaries of this world," he began. "It's good in air-to-air combat as well as air-to-surface attack, can go more than 850 kilometers before it needs to be refueled and can withstand up to nine G's--pretty high tech for this world's standards."

He opened the simulator door and gestured to the controls. "As you can see, it's configured differently than the systems we've been using in the last few weeks, but the joystick and the trigger button are located in the same place. The F-16 just isn't as sensitive as the starfighter--you'll have to yank harder at the joystick to get the same reaction."

The way his lips quirked up made it a little obvious that he wasn't entirely oblivious to the innuendo that might've been found in that statement. "You'll also be dealing with the Earth's gravity, so turns won't be as fast, and if you make the plane go up too quickly, the machine's been equipped to simulate G forces, so you might pass out. That's not exactly what I had in mind for today, so please don't do that," he concluded quickly.
