"Today we talk about the President's Cabinet," Josh said with a slightly relieved-looking smile when the government class walked in. "Without the President, this week. The Cabinet is, well, people and not furniture."

Josh smiled and sat back down. "Our discussion for the day: Which Cabinet secretary or Cabinet-level administration office guy would you prefer to be? If you were President, who from this school would you nominate for various positions?"

School Assembly, Friday afternoon, The Auditorium

Josh grinned as he walked out onto the stage. The curtain had been drawn to hide the contents behind and the stage was apparently infinitely malleable to make this work, omg.

"Given yesterday's events, today's assembly seems even more appropriate. We're going to do an old-fashioned battle of the sexes. Pulled completely at random, three guys and three girls will be dragged up here, if necessary, in order to compete for valuable cash and prizes." He paused. "Which we don't have, so the thrill of beating the other team will just have to do."

He waved his hand dramatically and the curtain drew back to reveal an obstacle course. "This contest will test your mind, your body, and your immunity to public humiliation. So, without any further ado, I give you: THE GUYS! Billy, Sam, and Peter Petrelli!" Josh frowned down at his paper. "Who also goes by Steve? I don't get it." He shrugged as he waited for the boys to get up on stage, then flipped to his next card. "And now for the LADIES! I give you Molly, Naomi, and Annette!"

Josh grinned again. "There's a Mickey Mouse Club joke in there, but I think it will date me. Without further ado, let's get on with the show!"

Lorne greets his students with a wave and smile as they enter the classroom. "Hey Kittens! Today our judges are Yo-yo Die Hard and the star of various comedy films Brendan Fraser! I'm not sure why he looks different and is wearing a mountie uniform but who cares! He's HAWT!"

Lorne made his way down to the judges table and put his feet up. "Today's theme is martial arts and/or hats. Make me happy people!"

Self Defense Club, Friday [After the Assembly]

E-mails had been handwavily sent to all who had signed up for the Self-Defense Club, letting them know that today would be the first meeting and basically be an introduction to the club.

Tori knew that Ami and Katara wouldn't be showing up. Ami was still unconscious in the clinc sad!omg and Tori wasn't exactly sure of Katara's whereabouts. That being said, today's meeting was going to be fun.

Conner was there too, looking a little grateful for the distraction, because all the water accumulating outdoors was making him really, really nervous.

Looking considerably more male than the day before, Seely fronted the class.

"I'm afraid that Professor Next can't be with us today, so she's left me and Z in charge today. In honour of yesterday's boobage, today we're covering the Femme Fatale."

"The Femme Fatale is a woman who is usually very hot, very seductive, and very violent," he said. "Usual methods of defeating her include bondage, and girlkissy."

He looked around the class and the reactions he got. "What? That's what the handout says."

It wasn't.

"So basically, today you're going to confront and try to defeat the ultimate Femme Fatale though use of wit, daring, and hopefully possibly girlkissy." He pressed a control to reveal his ultimate Femme Fatale.

It was Bitter Woman who looked a lot like Famke Janssen for reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with his player's desire to keep using the girl!Seely icons, really.

Seely really shouldn't be left to his own devices, ever.

Rose dashed into class looking rushed and wet . "Sorry! So Sorry! Didn't mean to be late but there was this thing with the weather -- no excuse I know. Anyway, Doctor asked me to fill-in as he's swanned off to parts unknown, possibly blowing things up and/or saving the galaxy."

"Looked through his class syllabus and decided to go for another tangent altogether, do you know what I find to cause 30% of the trouble we encounter on planets happen to be? If you say cultural misunderstandings you'd get a big heapin' A, well not really but you get the idea. Thing of it is, most of our run for our lives encounters happen because one of us didn't know the culture or someone who shall remain unknown, let's call him Factor, tends to deliberately insult a chief of state or some such alien tyrant because he can't keep his big gob shut.

"It always works out for the best, mind, but diplomacy does go a long, long way. Better a kind word said than telling 'em 'Need to turn down the sugar, eh? Getting a bit fat 'round the chin.'," She paused and looked to the students, "So, I want you lot to discuss different cultural misunderstandings and how you could avoid causing an international scene that would inevitably lead to your ugly death."
