tellmehowstuffworks: (s2 - say what now)

"Right," Yennefer said. "One of you didn't know about this last week," week before last. Details, "so let's start with it: vaccines. Get them. A vaccine is when they poke you with a needle and then you don't die of--pick a plague, any plague, doesn't matter what plague you pick, they've probably got a vaccine for it. So pop on down to the clinic, tell them what world you're from, and let them come up with a schedule to catch you up on all the not-dying needles you need for that world and this one, hmm?" The clinic seemed to have...changed...somewhat since she had left the island, but surely they still offered vaccines. "Then when you go home you can be incredibly healthy and the envy of all your friends. No, I don't know how to get your friends vaccinated." Honestly, who worried about their friends dying of influenza? Not Yennefer, that was for sure, but then she wasn't sure Jaskier was aging anyway.

No, she hadn't just admitted Jaskier was her friend. Why did you think that?

"To answer your next question, no, I haven't the foggiest idea how the vaccines work. They seem to be science, whereas I could tell you all about it if they were magic. But they do work, so: get some. Are there any questions? I do hope not."

“I was unavoidably detained last week! I apologize. I was forced into a mandatory ‘team-building exercise’ with my coworkers elsewhere. It will not happen again!”

Mostly because Sam had instituted some anti-Muppet security measures that he hoped would save him from further Muppet activities. Sam might have forgotten about Wednesdays though. Oh well. He'd remember eventually.

“Now! My required team building activity involved a boat. We had to go on a boat. For a party!” Oh, the horror.

“Boat parties, of course, are quite weird! As are all ‘team-building activities.’” Did you know felt eagles could do airquotes with their wings? You did now!

“Some parties, of course, are not weird. Some are perfectly lovely occasions. You will not find those parties on this island. Here things are weird as we discussed in the first class!” In case you forgot that this was an odd place when you had a teacher literally made of felt talking to you right now.

“A non-weird party might have food and drink and respectable music that could be danced to appropriately. A party here would have…glitter.” Sam shuddered at the thought. “And inappropriate music! Wild dancing! Things would be loud! And unpleasant! Unless, of course, the party is one hosted by one Captain America who can, naturally, never be weird as he is all that is right and good.”

“Now! Let us discuss parties! What, to you, would make a good and not weird party?”
