While most of Youtube was a horrible cesspit (much like the rest of the internet, really), there were still some wholesome and pure sections that one could visit to relax a bit. Carpet cleaning videos, for one. Powerwashing videos. Item restoration videos were also pretty great for that, and videos showing how.

Today, however, Arden was watching some guy dig out amazing open air buildings in the ground, by hand. She wasn't a hundred percent sure there wasn't some kind of trick at play here, but she also didn't care. Either way, it was a really compelling watch.

Or maybe she was just a nerd. Whatever.

It was Fussy French Pastry Week because even though both of your teachers spoke French, they weren't going to call the stuff pâtisserie.

"Bonjour," Steve said with a grin. "We're making French stuff today. Well, you are. JARVIS banned us from the kitchen when we tried to make the nuns."

That would make more sense in a minute, kids.

"He's no fun," Tony said with a frown. "After we judge last week's bake, we'll start you out with a classic entremet. Which is like if you made something where the decoration was inside for when you cut them."

"It should be no problem for you now that you've mastered custard," Steve said with more enthusiasm than their custard skills might be earning. "We'd like at least four layers when we cut it open, and also for it to not be a sploogy mess."

'Sploogy' was totally a real word.

"After that, we move onto the nuns," Tony said with a grin. "Or the Religieuse, which are filled choux pastries that are stacked together to sort of look like a nun." Just go with it, folks.

"Ours did not look like nuns," Steve said, "but that's why we're teaching and not taking this class." He smiled. "Before we get started on the entremets, let's see your herbal cakes with sugar flowers!"

Hopefully you learned how to make sugar flowers! Or ordered some from Amazon. It's not like your teachers would be able to tell.

Jon greeted everyone with a nod. "We're bettering ourselves again today. We'll be taking a class in crafting. It's two hours long, but the gnomes assure me that getting us back here in one hour is child's play." Jon was uncertain about playing with time, but it seemed to work for other people, so he was willing to try it.

He led them through a portal to a studio. "We're in New Hampshire, so it's probably rather cold outside; I wouldn't chance it. We'll be learning to make stained glass today, though, so we'll be staying inside." He nodded to the instructor. "There's a lot of cutting and...and burning and things, so everybody please be careful."

Do as he said, not as he did!

It was still just Cutter standing in front of the class when he began this week’s class, even though he was extremely excited about this week’s class topic, “Good morning,” he began, “this week we’re going to be looking at trilobites,” he said excitedly, “Trilobites form one of the earliest known groups of arthropods. The first appearance of trilobites in the fossil record defines the base of the Atdabanian stage of the Early Cambrian period, roughly 521 million years ago and they flourished throughout the lower Paleozoic before they began to decline and became extinct in the devonian period. The only surviving Trilobite at this time was the Preotida and then that became extinct during the mass extinction event of the Permian Period,” he explained.

“ Trilobites were among the most successful of all early animals, existing in oceans for almost 270 million years, with over 22,000 species having been described. By the time trilobites first appeared in the fossil record, they were already highly diversified and geographically dispersed. Because trilobites had wide diversity and an easily fossilized mineralised exoskeleton and they left an extensive fossil record. Because of the trilobites, this has led to important studies in biostratigraphy, paleontology, evolutionary biology and plate tectonics. Trilobites evolved into many ecological niches; some moved over the seabed as predators, scavengers or filter feeders and some swam where they ate plankton and others crawled onto land. The largest trilobites were more than 70 centimetres (28 in) long and may have weighed as much as 4.5 kilograms (9.9 lb).” Cutter concluded “for the rest of the class I would like you to work on your moddable worksheets and as always I am around to answer any questions that you may have,”
