"I can't believe it's our last class! There's so much more food out there to eat," Raiden said wistfully. "We'll just have to save that for another semester, right? But not next semester. Next semester we're zeroing in on potatoes. Don't miss it." Who would want to miss potatoes? "I couldn't decide at first where we should go for our last class--I thought about just going back to New Orleans, because let's face it, that's never a bad idea--but then Gray wrote a bunch of countries down and pulled one out of a hat for me, and he picked a good one: we're going to India! More specifically, Delhi, the capital, home to over twenty-eight million people and the second-largest metropolitan area in the world, after Tokyo.

"Now, Delhi has a strong Punjabi influence, but because it's the capital people from all over India have come here, so there are other influences from all over the country, which means you can find all different kinds of Indian food here--and yes, there are different kinds of food, because India actually has a lot of different cultures and languages. A lot of the food in India is vegetarian, due to strong local religious influences, but we'll also be trying various meats today, and most of the food will be full of spices, because they're plentifully available in this region--and they happily adopted ones that came from abroad, like the chili pepper--and they make things taste good." Hmm. He might have to keep an eye on the English girl. "Today we're gonna go on a food tour to experience as much as we can in as short an amount of time as we can, so let's go!"

We're having a practical exam today," Anakin said from the front of the class where he was keeping a wary eye on a clearly irritated Alot of Holiday Annoyances, which was covered in twinkly lights and emanating the distinct hum of Mariah Carey's "I don't want Alot for Christmas" (which was, frankly, hurtful to the Alot's feelings).

"It's all very good to consider the ethics of violence in the abstract," Ahsoka spoke with the serenity of one who did not celebrate the local holidays and more importantly was able to opt out of dealing with them. "But sometimes you have to deal in the concrete. The concrete and angry."

No, the Alot of Holiday Annoyances did not want to play Whamageddon, it had a noise sensitivity.

"This, as you might've guessed, is Alot of Holiday Annoyances, and they only get more powerful and irritated as the season progresses. How should we deescalate?"

"After all there are many kinds of negotiations," Ahsoka said with a beatific smile.

"Do not kill the Alot," Anakin added.

Could holiday annoyances ever really die?

Papers papers everywhere, along with large leather-bound volumes that seemed to tower over Ghanima's desk.  Ghanima herself, however, had Trebor on her hip as he surveyed the students with bright, curious eyes.

"Today, class, we journey back to the Classical era, to visit the land of myth that many of you from this planet are perhaps most familiar with," she began.  "Today, we meet the Greeks."

For word of hate let word of hate be said, cries Justice. Stroke for bloody stroke must be paid. The one who acts must suffer. )

"I'd like you to discuss whether or not Orestes can be held accountable for his actions.  This is the first ever recorded case of 'extenuating circumstances', and the Gods play a large role.  Under orders, or under a curse?  Does it even matter?  You decide."
