Well, everyone! You were back in Duscae again this week, and, while, sure, Gladio could have just done this lesson on the generic mountain, but all the talk lately about trips home had him feeling that nostalgic ache a little bit again, and he'd really wanted to use some Eosian beasts for this lesson, besides, so it just felt appropriate.

Even more so that he had Ignis there with him for this one, too.

"You guys may have noticed sort of a trend in the lessons lately," he started with a wry grin, "that might have already had you speculating on what we're doing today, and, if the weapons I've got here with me aren't the final nail in the coffin....we're working on hunting big game today. Now, usually, in survival situation, hopefully, small game, foraging, and fishing'll be enough to do ya, but if it's really rough, or we're talking about an apocalyptical situation that requires sustaining along with survival, knowing how to take down some heavy hitters for a more substantial meal. I know not everyone's a fighter and not everyone's going to be naturally inclined or trained to take down a behemoth, and if that's you, you're definitely not going to perfect it in one class period, but hopefully, you can at least get a feel for it, and pursue improving on it in your own time if you feel it'll be helpful.

"And, of course," he continued, "once you actually have the beast down, it's important to know what to do with it, too, and that's what I've got Ignis here for today. Don't get me wrong, he can show you some great ways to take down a beast, too, but where he excels that I don't is in knowing how to turn that beast into food afterwards. So we'll spend a little time talking about different methods of big game hunting, then we'll chat about big game butchering, and then give you the chance to try either of them on your own.

"Sound like a good plan? Then let's get into it..."

There was only one teacher in front of the class today, and if she seemed a bit distracted and scowly, well...there was only one teacher.

"Good morning, class. Since we seem to be down one, we'll be focusing on my strength, such as it is. A good deal of music has lyrics to accompany it, and the best of that sort has lyrics that build on the music and work with it. Lyrics can be a sort of poetry - not that that means they need to rhyme, though many do, but they are often figurative and work on different levels."

She waved a hand at them. "So, find some instrumental music and write lyrics for it. Or find a song with words and write different lyrics for it." Look, she hadn't had much time to come up with this when Atton hadn't shown up. "I won't even make you sing them this week, though I make no promises for later."

New Wednesday, same weird teachers! "So," Anakin began, "we're back to normal again, back into our routines where the same people are doing the same things and gradually driving us all crazy by the way they tap their fingers against the table as they think, or never put the cap on the toothpaste, or drink all of the coffee without starting a new pot."

Just pulling examples out of the air, really, not from several decades of marriage.

"Leaving dismembered droid parts all over your shared quarters..." For another completely random example.

"That was Obi-Wan," Anakin lied.

"Lying about who left dismembered droid parts all over your quarters," Ahsoka continued without skipping a beat. "I know he didn't do Artoo's maintenance."

"Maybe Artoo left Artoo's parts on the floor," Anakin declared.

"Oh, and now we're blaming Artoo?" Maybe if it had been Chopper, Ahsoka might have bought it.

"Artoo isn't always perfect!" Another lie. Artoo was always perfect. Anakin coughed. "So. How do you stop petty problems from escalating? Do you ignore it? Bring it up? Move out?"

Join the Sith, Ahsoka didn't say. "The ideal solution is to talk it over like adults."

Stop laughing.

Guess who really didn't want to teach today?

Guess who ready to do the bare minimum and was only here because it was almost White Day and she wanted to see if any of her students had paid attention during the Valentine's Day lesson and had brought her chocolate or gifts?

If you guessed Yukari, good job! You get a gold star, and probably a warning not to get too cocky about it.

"So, sometimes," she announced, standing proudly in front of a TV screen with a remote control in her hand, "foreigners have a real hard time communicating even with each other in Japan! So much so that they sort of made a movie about it! So that's what we're going to do today, we're going to watch this movie and think about the effectiveness of knowing how to communicate in a foreign culture and then write an essay about that for next week!"

Essays that she was probably not going to read, so the important lesson here was just don't even bother.

"Any questions before we begin? No? Then get comfortable and don't let me catch you sleeping or else you'll have to write lines in katakana on the board as punishment!"
