Hopefully, everyone in the class remembered what Gladio had definitely, absolutely, trust me said last week about coming to class this week with swimwear if they had it, and that he'd make sure they had an option if they didn't, and he also hoped that that meant none of them would be particularly surprised when they were redirected to the Danger Shop, set up to look like a nice, big indoor pool.

He'd considered using the pool at the gym, really, but it was kind of nice to lean on the Danger Shop and not have to worry about any kids drowning due to lack of experience or lack of common sense. This batch, however, seemed pretty good with that kind of thing, but, still...

"Alright," Gladio, clearly ready to get into the water himself with his swim trunks, clapped his hands together, "if you're not already suited up, hit the locker rooms and get ready, because today we're tackling swimming. If you don't already know how to swim, don't worry, we're going to go over it, and if you do already know how to swim, then we'll be doing a quick overview of the basics, just to refresh you, and then we'll just sort of go from there. I got a couple of activities that'll suit a variety of skills based on where you guys are at, but swimming is not only a great way to get in a good workout, but it's also a lot of fun, too, and something I hope you guys'll get a lot of mileage out of, once the weather starts to warm up. And, speaking of warming up, we'll want to do a little bit of that, too, before we get in, because there's nothing worse than a muscle cramp mid-stroke. So let's take a few moments to get ready, and then let's jump on in."

Musical Theater! [Friday, Period Two]

There was a projector set up at the front of class today, and your teachers seemed somewhat less engaged than usual.

"Due to the quality of your auditions, cast announcements will wait another week. " No, Cara didn't care if you believed her blatant lies or not. "Instead we'll watch a movie."

A surly blanket pile made a noise of agreement. Because one of your teachers had definitely been dragged out for this. "Movies are great for napping too," Jaskier added hoarsely.

"In any case, you'll get to see how some real professionals put on a show." Note that Cara did not clarify what kind of professionals.

An Introduction to Zoology - Friday, 1st Period

Despite his lack of sleep the last few days, Cutter had not been able to fall asleep last night so he had stayed up all night working on his lesson plan.

“This week we’re going to cover the remaining different kingdoms, we’ve covered animalia and plantae,” he began that week’s lecture as he handed out his usual stack of notes, “and we’re going to take a look at Kingdoms Monera, Protista, Fungi ,”

“Starting off with Kingdom Monera,” he continued, “typically with the Monera Kingdom, these are organisms that do not have a true nucleus, this means that their DNA is not enclosed in the nucleus and these also are some of the oldest microorganisms on Earth,”

“Meanwhile Kingdom Protista contains of protists that are eukaryotic organisms and these are grouped together because they typically don’t have anything in common with other kingdoms,” he explained, “they are typically microscopic and unicellular organisms,” he went on, “there are protists that can make their own food and are photosynthetic while others are heterotrophic and this means they seek out their own food,”

“The last Kingdom we have to cover is Kingdom Fungi,” Cutter concluded, “these are organisms that are heterotrophic and cannot make their own food and they play an important part in nutrient cycling in the ecosystem, fungi cells are do contain both a nucleus and organelles like plants and animals do however they do not contain cellulose, which does usually make up plant walls,”

“For your reports next week, I would like you to write up a report from two kingdoms of your choice, using the classification system that you’ve used for your previous reports,”

Practical Engineering - Friday, 4th Period

“Sorry about last week,” Goose began that week’s class, “I got called away unexpectedly on a mission but for this week, we’re going to take a look at the use of springs and the strength of springs using the application of Hooke’s Law,” he explained, “this determines whether or not that a spring can be an acceptable use of weighing an object,”

“For our experiment today we are going to be making a Spring Scale,”

Library - Friday

The library seemed to more quiet than usual when Jo arrived after her zoology class, which she was rather unsettled by but nothing seemed out of place and all of the shelves were where they were supposed to be.

After the books had been reshelved and everything had been organised and set up for the day, Jo decided to use the time to get started on her next report for her zoology class, which seemed to be more complicated that the last couple of weeks but she wanted to make sure that she could get a head start on her report while she was at the library.
