"Good morning, adventurers and knowledge-seekers!" Sidon greeted the class with his usual excitement and aplomb, grinning big as everyone got settled into their classroom (one of the ones with a rather nicely high ceiling). "And welcome to Hyrule History and Legends!, a class where I, Sidon," he pumped his fist across his chest and hit them with a brilliant smile, so brilliant the light caught perfectly off his fangs, because he'd had that down for centuries now!, "the Zora Prince, will take you on several fantastic journeys through the exciting legends and history of my world, Hyrule! For those of you who don't know, Hyrule is a far-distant land, very different from this one, full of all sorts of magic and wonder, but also a great deal of danger, especially in the form of the Great Calamity, a monstrous entity that rose up from the past nearly one hundred years ago, that plagues us to this day. It is a world currently dangling in the balance between destruction and survival, which is perhaps why I am so keen on teaching about it. Hopefully, Hyrule will be around for many, many more millennia to come, but, if not, then, at least it may not be so easily forgotten."

His smile now was soft and apologetic.

"Hardly the most encouraging note to start on, but it does place things in a very true, very realistic context, and I hope highlights the importance of knowledge and storytelling, especially of worlds not our own. And, as such, since you will be spending the rest of the semester hearing me tell you about the world that is my own, today, I should actually very much like to hear about the worlds that are your own." He chuckled faintly. "I'm sure some of you are sick of introductions at this point, although I am incredibly fond of them myself, so please, indulge me at least this one time by taking some time to tell me and everyone else your name and where you're from, and anything else about your world that you might wish to share. If you could be so kind, I would also be absolutely delighted to know if there's any particular reason you decided to take this class, or anything you'd like to know more about, so I can be certain it gets covered in the weeks going forward. Sometimes, there feels like so much to talk about, that I find it rather difficult to even choose! So if I can guide my lessons based on what you'd like to know about, that works best for all of us in the long run!

"And," Sidon added with a wink, gesturing toward the desk behind him, which had been, notably, piled up with a variety of different fruits and a few vegetables, "to ensure that the class is not entirely introductions, I have also brought with me from Hyrule a few examples of its natural bounty in the form of some of our most fortifying fruits and vegetables! Please come and try them when we're all finished, and, if you like, we can discuss some of their properties as well. I have included little placards to tell you more about the regions they can be found and what benefits they provide, but I will be more than happy to discuss them further!"

He was never against discussing almost anything really.

"But first! Introductions! Who shall have the honor of going first?"

Well, the class room was on fire. But it was fine. Everything was on fire and also fine.

"Ah, less than ideal conditions for a first class," Jaskier said.

"Perhaps we should have met outside," Yennefer murmured to him. Oh, wait. Outside was also on fire. "Would you care to tell the students about the class?" Since she had no memory of agreeing to teach such a thing.

"Ah... I thought you picked it?" Oh no, someone was going to get into a fight with the moose while Jaskier hid behind them.

Yennefer stared at him for a moment, then asked, "Why would I have done that?...Oh, I am going to kill that moose." She turned to address the class proper. "Well. Welcome to...this. If taking to the road with only a lute and impractical shoes--" Everyone ignore an indignant squawk from the bard. "--sounds like your post-graduation style, you have come to the right place. Congratulations. I will attempt to impress upon you some common sense, I suppose." While also wearing highly impractical shoes.

"By speaking from experience," Jaskier added. "As a pair of well seasoned travelers. Let's... let's begin with the introductions. Yes."

"You should be used to this by now," Yennefer said firmly. "Tell us who you are, and why in the world you're in this class." She turned to the bard. "Is there anything else we should know?" Aside from why everything was on fire, which seemed a bit much to ask of the universe.

"Your experience with the open road?" Jaskier ventured.

"Yes, let's go with that. We'll begin with...you over there." Hopefully not on fire.

"Good morning, everybody." Lana sat on the floor and encouraged them to do the same, although the chairs were still there if they preferred.

"Last summer term I taught the Sith code, and I thought it might be interesting to explore a bit more about it. Those of you who weren't in the class, the Sith code is the basis for and reflection of Sith beliefs:

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

"Now, I'm here to teach you that's the truth or to convince you of it. What I hope to do is to show you that it is a truth that some in my galaxy believe, and to pull it apart, talk about some ways it's been used, and discuss the good and bad that can come of it.

"However, for today, what we're going to do is introduce ourselves, naturally, and I've brought coffee." She waved at the cups of black coffee and packets of sugar and creamer she'd gotten at the Perk. "I'd also like to hear a bit about your personal philosophy of your life and goals, and if you have any initial thoughts on the Sith code."

She nodded at the first student to start.

Jo was really glad that she had listened to radio that morning because when she turned up to the library after her class, she noticed that some of the shelves seemed to be on fire.

Even though she now knew that it wasn’t real fire, it was still a little unnerving to see it and she felt a little awkward as she attempted to reshelve the books that she had to put away. She just decided to ignore the sections that were on fire for the time being, she was hoping they would eventually put themselves out.
