"Well, everyone," said Amaya, with a nod, once it was time to get class started...and, subsequently, finished, for the semester, "today's our last class, so we'll be going over the three finishing steps of armor work, which is joining, polishing, and finishing. They're relatively simple concepts, so it shouldn't take too much time, and then it's pretty much your time to do what you need to do to get your pieces close to finished. Making a piece of armor's a bit more involve, in general, than the daggers we would have been making in a weapons-focused class, so if you find yourself still without much of a piece by the end of the class, don't worry about it too much. If you're set on finishing, you can always swing by and work on it here at the forge, I certainly don't mind, but, even if you don't, at least you'll be walking away from here with a few new techniques under your belt, whether you decide to pursue it further or not.

"Of course, any lingering questions you might have about the processes, the techniques, or even blacksmithing as a career or an art, I'll be happy to field those, too, but first, let's take a look at what's typically needed in the last stages, although, really, they're fairly self-explanatory by the name, so you probably know what's about to come up next."

"Well," said Rosa, the arena around her pretty open, with a playing field of sorts marked with several basket-like stands at various intervals. "It's our last class, and, if you've taken this with me before, you can probably guess that that means it's time for Powerball. How to play is simple: get as many of the balls of your assigned color into goal baskets as you can, and do whatever you can to prevent your opponents from getting their balls into the baskets. If you have trouble figuring that out..."

Rosa shook her head, because she was convinced you were pretty hopeless at that point.

"And as the last event," she added, "we're not bothering with teams. It's going to be a free-for-all, because that's way more fun anyway. Forget that teamwork bullshit. Every man for themselves. Myself included."

If you couldn't have guessed by the fact that she was, indeed, already geared up.

Rosa grabbed a black ball. "Let's get going."

There was a stage in the classroom. Why was there a stage in the classroom. The class did literally zero instrument playing all session long.

But don't any of you worry, it was time to put on a show with the power of positive thinking! Or something.

"We've come to the the last class of the session! Somehow I thought there were more classes," Jaskier admitted.

"I was just following my colleague's lead," Cara said with beatific smile that suggest she'd known they hadn't. "Anyway it's time to put on a show."

"But we believe in you all!" Did they have ear plugs just in case? Yes.

But no ear plugs for the class. "So get up there and show us what you've got."

Belle had no idea why there were so many books on glassblowing in the library today, or any day, but they were proving interesting. The photographs in particular were quite beautiful.

After shelving a cart of assorted books she returned to the desk to spend more time looking at the pictures. She rather liked one book on an artist named Chihuly.

It was the last week of class and to the surprise of no one, Goose was not really prepared for the class at all.

He had considered a movie day but then he’d gone over his notes from previous classes and decided that finishing on machine drawing wasn’t that bad of an option so he decided to go with that for his class.

“Welcome back,” he said softly and then he looked rather sheepish, “so I don’t actually have anything prepared for your final lesson,” he admitted, “I thought we could take the time and go over machine drawing and then you can start using the techniques to do your own drawings,” he explained.
