"Hello, everyone!" Sidon beamed, as usual, as the class gathered that day on the beach, where there were no tables of crafting supplies awaiting them today. Oh, no, indeed, the tools of today's project were scattered about in the very sand itself, in the form of a variety of differet shovels and buckets and particularly shaped molds that would make it very clear to anyone who recognized them what they would be doing today. "And welcome to our very last Arts and Crafts class of the summer! Hard to believe it's already here, but, as with so many other things, time ebbs on and swiftly swipes the days away....much like it will inevitable do to our final projects! For today, unlike previous days, will involve a project that you can't very easily take with you; all you will have are likely to be memories...or, I suppose, pictures," he chuckled, with a wink tossed over to Liz assuming she was there, "should you take some of those, too.

"Today," he finally revealed, as if it was some big secret, "we are exploring the fine art of sand castles! And just as there is an endless variety of different grains of sand on the beach, surely there will be a similar multitude of different sand structures here today! They don't even need to be castles! Make anything you want out of sand. A sand house, a sand fortress, a sand dolphin, a sand man! And another wonderful thing about working with sand structures is that it makes for an excellent collaborative effort, so please feel free to work either alone or with your friends!

"Maybe even with your enemies!" he added with a faint chuckle. "Though I suspect there's not too much of that going around here! Let's begin, shall we?"

Well, there was good news and bad news, class. The good news is that there wasn't a "make your own flamethrower" assignment today.

The bad news was this would probably not stop Beaker from catching on fire because today's theme was electricity! Oh boy.

Beaker stood at the front of the lab with his school mandated watcher temporary teaching assistant, Scott Lang. "Meep meep meep meep," he said, gesturing to Scott. "Meep meep meep meep meep meep meep meep."

So that was certainly clear.

"Hey guys!" Scott said cheerfully, making some assumptions about those meeps. "So, like the little guy said, my name's Scott, and today, we're gonna be learning about electrical conductivity!"

Nothing to worry about here at all. Just ignore the alligator clips hooked up to the car battery that Scott had brought with him. (Though he was also, personally, sporting rubber gloves and a pair of goggles, because safety was very important. (And Scott, like, genuinely did not know just how futile those efforts were, but you know.)

"Meeeeeeeeeeep--" Beaker said admiringly as he stared at the car battery, then began to bring out a variety of small appliance to run off of it: blender, George Foreman Grill, Belgian waffle maker, electronic sledge hammer...

This could only go well!

"So, there's conductors," Scott offered, trying not to fumble as he watched the litany of devices being brought out. "And insulators. Conductors do exactly what it sounds like -- they take the electricity and heat along to another place. Insulators stop it, which is why I've got these fancy...."

He had started to wave a gloved hand at the class, but the electronic sledge hammer was kind of too much. "Dude, do you know how to use that?"

Also, importantly: was Muppet felt a conductor or an insulator? They were probably going to find out today, weren't they?

"Meep meep," Beaker said in what he hoped was a very reassuring way. (It wasn't.)

It wasn't at all, but maybe that was the language barrier? Scott was mostly going off of, like, intent here.

"Cool," he decided. "All right, then we're gonna hook up these clips to --" Well, ideally something boring, but Beaker had not really supplied boring options, had he? (This was why Scott maybe shouldn't actually teach; he would have brought electronic boards and lightbulbs and potatoes to hook up to the battery.) "Uh, I guess we can start with your sledgehammer."

What? Scott, no. At least the waffle iron, my guy.

The last class was being held back in the flight shed, where Jaina had two little boys playing quietly with some holographic toys in the corner. Had she promised them that they could maybe see a simulator after class? Possible.

"For the last class, we're trying starfighters again, and you'll be able to choose what kind," Jaina told them. "Whatever you feel more comfortable with. One of the best things you can learn is how to manage a crash landing. In the middle of a normal space flight, you'll start having engine troubles and need to land on this jungle planet, but your landing gear is also going to go out. You'll have to work through and figure out what best to do, and I've even got a little demo for you on what to account for. If you have a good reason to not try this one, talk to me and we'll work it out." Never forget the time she got detention for not crashing in a flight class right after she recovered from being blinded in a ship explosion. Never forget. "Good luck."

Class today had been informed to meet not at Portalocity, but at Hannibal's house. He greeted them all in the foyer before leading them into the dining room, which was more than large enough for them all and decorated in dark blue and red with plants - herbs - in a tower by the doorway.

"I thought today we would stay close to home and eat a meal I can truly vouch for," he said, smiling. Once they sat, he would bring out water, homemade soda, or wine, and then the menu:

Gougeres
Strawberry bruschetta
Lamb chops with balsamic reduction
Gnocchi with sage butter sauce
Cauliflower pomegranate apple salad
Roasted summer vegetables

And then to follow, excellent coffee or tea and:
Elderflower, champagne, and berry jellies (Sorry, Summer)
Chocolate liqueur souffles

If you left hungry, it wasn't his fault. He might even send you home with food.
