Today's background music: songs to roleplay combat encounters to.

"So, the big event's next week," Steph told everyone when it looked like they were all assembled. "Hope you're all prepared and, furthermore, getting psyched for it. We'll be meeting in the park for that, so come prepared with all your gear. Now's your last chance to hash stuff out together and do the major work on your props and things -- though you can totally take stuff home with you and put on whatever finishing touches you want between now and then. For those of you who want to have some fun with combat encounters, you'll have your chance to do that. For those of you who don't? I got you covered. You can avoid that as hard as you want to without having to go too far out of your way to do it."

She gestured toward the craft tables.

"So let's get to it! I'm here to field any questions you might still have, or help you out with any more character stuff."

A forecast and presumed morning of thunderstorms did not bode well for water activities, especially when lead by someone particularly sensitive to lightning damage, and so class that day was going to be held inside the community center...in whichever room had the highest ceiling. There were crafting supplies set out on all the tables, and, most important, large baskets (woven, of course!) filled to the brim with a large assortment of seashells of all colors, sizes, and shapes. There were probably few rocks that managed to make their way in there, too, but it probably didn't take a terribly clever mind to predict what was about to come.

"Hello, my adventurous aquatic artists!" Sidon greeted them brightly. "This week, we're focusing more on the art aspect than the aquatic by making seashell art! Now, of course, the most rudimentary and basic approach to such art is merely arranging your shells in a fashion you find aesthetically pleasing on a sturdy surface, be it a canvas of sorts or a frame or perhaps you'd like to decorate a vase or bowl! Beautiful and practical! We have a good deal of supplies available to us, so please, feel free to let your mind run wild and free of the variety of possibilities in which your sea shell may take you!

"If you have questions or need help, by all means, do not hesitate to ask! And don't hesitate t help each other or work together, because Aquatic Arts can always be a team effort!"

Back to the Danger Shop today, where they were in a wide open field, with some cliffs not too far, just in case,

"Today you're using jetpacks," Jaina announced, holding one up. If they looked a little Mandalorian, that was what she was used to. "If you're unfamiliar, these strap onto your back and propel you into the air somehow without serious burn injuries."

She walked them through a demonstration on how to use them and direct yourself, and then said, "Everyone pick one up and let's try."

Goose had ended up handwavily spending the weekend back home and had asked Niko to have a look at his communicator and see if she could get any kind of reading on it that would give some indication on the progress that they were making or if she could reestablish a connection but even her abilities weren’t able to get that link up and running again and now Goose was running out of ideas that he could try.

He had managed to get a few more communicators for Summer though, so the trip home wasn’t a complete bust.

“Good morning,” Goose began, “I thought we could start expanding and combining the topics that we've been working on for the last few weeks by beginning to work on a Mechanical Pick and Place Mechanism, and we can look at a more detailed way for the mechanical design process of such a machine,” he explained. "in particular, this is also a good introduction to the pulley system as well, which is a prominent component of mechanical engineering,"
