On the door to the classroom that day, the students would find a note, written in a somewhat blocky script:

My sincerest and deepest apologies, my intrepid adventures and legend-seekers!

In the wake of the most recent Blood Moon, Zora's Domain has been absolutely BESET with vicious lizalfos and moblins, and at this dire time, my kingdom needs me and I shall not be able to make it into our final class!

Go and make some legends of your own!

~Sidon, the Zora Prince~

You could practically still hear that glint off his smile at the end there, couldn't yoi?

[[ so fun story! I came home last night to no internet and am still very much without! And there is no way I'm writing a Sidon class post with only tiny phone internets, because ooooooof. So enjoy the free period, kiddos ]]

As everyone gathered for one last time (for this semester, anyway) in the training field under the little castle on the hill (which was only a model), Amaya dropped a large wrapped bundle on s table between them and unrolled it reveal a small scattering of weapons.

"Now, they're far from perfect," she said, by way of introduction, "rough mock-ups at best, there's only so much a person can do in a week, but I took some of your designs from last week and tried to put them together. Anything that was beyond my ability, we just let the Danger Shop," she hitched her thumb go the rack behind her, "do the work. So today, what we're going to do is just see how these ideas work as actual weapons. Give 'em a go, share them with each other so other people can try 'em, see what works, what doesn't, and talk about 'em a little if you like. Pretty simple. And of course we've got all the regular weapons we've covered so far in you want a little more work with the basics.

"So come on up, find your weapon, and let's get to work!"

"Well, we've gotten to the final class without permanent injuries," Steve said, clapping his hands together, "just like we always knew we could."

"Congratulations!" Tony said as a few of the roombas zoomed around him with party hats affixed to them. "But, unfortunately, most of the ingredients we had planned for today have been replaced with some more, ah, munchies related ones."

"Munchies?" Steve repeated, politely confused. His anti-drug PSAs had been very clinical, Tony.

Tony just nodded like it was perfectly reasonable. "I'll tell you later," he promised. "But for now... work with what we have and see what you can make!"

"But maybe some of the students are also confused," Steve said."

Steve.

"Steve, no." Steve, yessss.

"Why not?" Steve demanded.

"Because it's weed. It's a weed joke," Tony blurted out, spooking one of the roombas.

Steve looked momentarily mystified still before he finally got it. "Oh. Okay. So make a delicious...something and then...impress us with your engineering skills somehow too?"

"Sounds like college," Tony muttered quietly.

Steve snorted and poked him in the shoulder. "And thank you again for your time and attention this semester."

"We hope to see you again this summer," Tony added, shamelessly grabbing a bag of Doritos.

"Especially if you like paintball," Steve said with a grin.

It was the final class and while Goose did actually have a lesson planned for the last class, it still felt weird that he’d had two semesters of teaching now and that he’d been able to have a final class both times.

“Good morning,” he said when it time for class to begin, “so this is your final class for the semester and I thought since we started machine drawing last week, I thought that’s what we’d finish with and it’s what we’ll work on for our final practical,” he explained.

“So this lesson is going to focus on two components and the first one is that you will work on building a wind powered car but you will also be doing a machine based drawing on it as well based on the lecture from last week,”
