Now that the class had gotten their foot in the door on the cooking side of things, it was going to be difficult for Ignis to pull himself out of it, especially when he had so many other things going on outside of this illustrious teaching career. And because of the surge of activity with things back home, he figured he might be able to do something a little more fun for the class today. Or, at least, he hoped the students would find it a little more lighthearted and engaging, but he supposed there was only one way to find out.

"Staying in the kitchen for just a little longer," he started, with a somewhat apologetic smile, "but today, I'd like to turn a focus onto to the idea of food waste and how to avoid it. After all, why not put the emphasis on the economy of home economics by ensuring that your kitchen is efficient and nothing is going to waste. Previous lessons can go hand-in-hand with this topic, of course: meal planning can be essential to ensuring that leftovers and ingredients are consumed well before they start to spoil, as can being mindful of not purchasing things in excess of what you need and of expiration dates and the like, while also not abandoning food purchased with good intention to be used and them promptly being forgotten about until it's much too late. Proper food storage can also be helpful...."

And so on and so forth. Ignis continued on with discussing some of the finer points and details to help prevent food waste, which all boiled down to essentially being mindful and resourceful.

"And it's the resourceful," he said, finally coming around to a concluion with a soft smile, "that we will be focusing on today. I'd like to give you all a little bit of a challenge today that I think will be a good way to work together, get creative, think outside of the box, and maybe even enjoy ourselves a little bit. I'm going to challenge you all to come up with a dish based on what is available in the fridge and pantry that should get used quickly before it's too late. If you'd like to really push yourselves, feel free to attempt the recipe as well, since we'll have plenty of time, although you can also just stick to planning and speculation if you prefer. Since we do have such a wide variety of skills and experience in this class, I'd like you to partner up and work together, so those with more experience can help those with less. Or at least give credence to the fact that two minds are better than one. You'll have a few minutes to look over what's available, and then you can get started on planning what to make to put as many of the ingredients to use as possible. Any questions before we begin?"

PE and Health Class - Friday - First Period

Ahhh, nothing quite like a relaxing day at the beach, right? The danger shop was set to virtual tropical paradise, nice warm weather, bright and brilliant sun, pristine white beaches on the edge of the turquoise ocean stretching for miles in either directions. Were the teachers about to give the class an unexpected day off, to soak up some rays and play in the water? Were they having a beach episode?

Well, not quite. Or not at all, actually. Because, what? Did you think they would be that easy on you?

"Hold on," said Gladio, holding up a hand for extra emphasis, "before you get too excited," he glanced toward the water, "or too concerned, let's take a moment to actually tell you guys what we'll be doing today."

"Got a bit of a mixed challenge for us to tackle today" Dwight said from his position alongside his teaching buddy. "If you can manage to walk or somewhat run, you can complete the task today. Tough to be fair.... There ARE a few challenges thrown in the mix to keep it interesting and to give some members of the class a bit of a challenge."

You were getting a look all of your own right here Troy.

"So, in case you haven't put the pieces together yet, we are going to be enjoying some nice and easy sand jogging!"

Nevermind the fact that it was likely 'easy' considering who the instructors were for this class. Details! Who needs them?

Anakin had dragged out the scenery decorating as long as he could (and probably a week longer than really necessary), but it had given him inspiration for today!

He dropped a pile of retractable, plastic swords and knives onto the stage. "Today, we'll learn stage fighting!" he said. "I've been in actual fights since I was six, so this should be easy. First, get warmed up. Five laps around the auditorium!"

Please, please, no one stab yourself.

Library - Friday

Jo was having a fairly easy shift at the library today, she’d only had to reshelve a few books and as far as she could tell nothing unusual was happening in the library at the moment so she wasn’t going to question it and was taking the opportunity to read a new letter that she had received from her friend Deidre and what had been happening at Malory Towers in the last couple of months. The timing of the letter wasn’t lost on her because it was nearly a year since she had made that fateful decision that changed everything.

Even after nearly finishing her first year at Fandom, it still felt weird to think how different everything was to where she had been a year ago because it was nearly a year ago since she had been expelled, since she had made that decision to steal the money from Matron’s safe and spend it in town with Deidre and then convince her to run away with her when she was found out and was too cowardly to own up to what she’d done.

So she was a little pensive as she read over Deidre’s letter, thinking how much had changed and what she’d experienced in the year that she had been expelled.
