"Morning, everyone!" Amaya greeted the class with the usual eagerness that came with the prospect of getting to blather on about weapons to a captive audince for a certain amount of time. "And welcome back! I hope you're feeling limber and ready to work those arms, because today, we're moving onto what's been turning out to be a favorite around the island, and, really, it's no surprise, and that is axes!"

What kind of woman doesn't have an axe? )

With that, Amaya concluded her ramble lecture and turned a faint grin to the students. "Are there any questions? If not, I'll turn it on over to Detective Diaz."

"Hello, again, my intrepid scholars of great legends!" Sidon greeted the class with the usual excitement and vigor, but, alas, there were no drawings on the board that day to try to decipher. He was depending solely on his skill as a great weaver of stories with this one day! "And welcome back! You may recall that last week, we discussed powerful legendary weapons, specifically The Sword that Seals the Darkness, which you may remember is weilded by a great hero of Hylian legend! And you may recall that such a Hero has a counterpart, as champion to a powerful Princess with incredible magical powers that she cultivates from her bloodline decendant from the Goddess Hylia herself to protect our land! Today, we talk a little bit about those powers and the source from which they come: the Three Springs of Wisdom, Courage, and Power!"

Like some kind of...TRIFORCE or something.... )

Here, Sidon cut off his musings with a chuckle. "And what," he concluded, looking at them all with his yellow eyes shining eagerly, "questions might I be forgetting that you may have? Let us, as always, discuss!"

Well, kids, today you had blow torches, so that could only end in awesome. Or someone on fire. Which would still be awesome, albeit in a traumatizing way.

"Today we're going to make edible volcanoes!" Steve said excitedly. "Tony will explain the science part."

"Baking soda and vinegar is the classic way to make a volcano that won't actually burn anything," Tony said. "And since we already have the blow torches out, we thought it might be safer to stick with that one."

Also, the school got weird about making real volcanoes.

You graduate more than one supervillain and the school board gets a little squeamish. Go figure.

"Your volcano has to be at least three feet tall and made out of cake, meringue, and ice cream," Steve said. "Plus have a hole for the baking soda and vinegar stuff."

"We suggest a thick layer of meringue," Tony said helpfully. "The main stipulation is that the eruption must work, okay?"

"And that the ice cream doesn't melt," Steve added. "We've left out a couple of recipes for cake, ice cream and meringues--" but tried none of them because your teachers were terrible cooks, "--and your bots will be out in a second to assist you!"

Several of them had a little chef hats on. It was adorable.

Goose had his dinner tonight and he was perhaps not as focused on his class that he normally would have been but luckily this week’s lecture was going to be rather similar to the lecture he did last semester when he covered this topic so he had his notes and lesson plan from that to go off.

“So this is week’s lecture is going to be the beginning of looking at mechanical engineering as a whole and to start that we’re going to look at the general history and notable achievements and then we’ll begin getting into the practical aspect of the course,” he explained.

He then began to cover the general details of the history of the time line and achievements of mechanical engineering.

“So for our first project, we are going to make an analogue wall clock, this is a project that we did do last semester when we covered mechanical engineering but I think this is a good example of being introduced to machinery and a way to learn how everything all comes together, so I do have a tutorial that you can follow and then we’ll spend the rest of the class working on this project,”
