sword_chocobro: (grining toward you)

There was a certain sense of relief among the chocobros that morning, because this was finally the last day of this class that they still had failed to figure out by now, and, while it had been fun, they were all just feeling a little eager to get away from it and maybe focus on something a little more...cohesive and comprehensive the next time around. That wasn't to say that they weren't going to enjoy today, at least, but, still. A gag like that could only get you so far...

So while the marshmallow snow coated the ground outside, it was a bright, sunny, mild day inside the danger shop, on a nice little chocobo far not too dissimilar from the chocobo post they'd visited in a previous class. There were a few tables scattered around, too, with some writing untensil and stacks of paper, being weighted down by rocks as the edges fluttered slighty in the faint breeze, a detail Prompto was particularly proud of, thank you, and then it was time to get started.

"Alright, everyone!" said Gladio, raising his voice over them in case some of them were already getting distracted by the chocobos waiting in their pens. "It's our last class, and it's definitely been...an interesting one, but we hope you at least had fun and maybe even learned something."

"Even if," Prompto chimed in brightly with a grin, "that thing you learned was just how great chocobos are!"

"And as such," Ignis continued, "as your final assignment, we'd like you to go ahead and compose an essay along those lines. Namely, what you have come to feel makes a person a..." He hesitated with a faint sigh, still not quite convinced that this should ever be a word uttered out of anyone's mouth ever, "chocobro."

"That's right, guys," Gladio's tone was almost apologetic. "We're having you do a final assignment, an essay on What It Means to Be a Chocobro, but, after that, youv'e got the rest of the class period to just enjoy yourself, hang out with the chocobos, we've got some obstacle and racing courses just down the way there. So when you're done with the essay, the farm is all yours. Any questions before we begin?"

Superhero class was back in the Danger Shop again today. Having a superheroing final in a classroom didn’t seem right, somehow, even if most of the class had been talking and movies.

“Your costumes from a few weeks ago are here if you want them,” Stark said once everyone arrived. Yes, by a few weeks he meant 7. What of it? Time is meaningless. Especially this weekend. Not that anyone knew that yet. “You can see how well they work in practice.”

After giving everyone an opportunity to change into those costumes, Stark hit a few buttons so the room was transformed into…the streets of Fandom. Outside the bakery, unsurprisingly. “Somewhere familiar seemed best,” he said. “It’s likely opportunities for heroics here will happen. Something always happens here eventually. So today we’ll be protecting the town. Or a version of the town.” A version with actual snow instead of marshmallow and with NPCs being menaced by a bunch of suspicious-looking decorations come to life. Look, someone was still taking that inflatable reindeer attack last year personally and maybe trying to work through it. "A version under attack. Much like last year."

“Nothing here will actually hurt you,” he said. “But it will try. Working together might be wise. Having someone to watch your back, or your side, is always better than not. And watching out for others is definitely heroic.” And some of those decorations were crafty. They'd sneak up on you!

"Welcome back to our final class," Steve said with a smile. "You've done very well this semester."

"And you made it here even with the weather being what it is!" Tony added brightly. Did both teachers have hot cocoa for the occasion? You're damn right they did.

Had Steve augmented his cup with marshmallow snow from outside? Yep.

"So we've set up a small obstacle course to test what you've learned," Steve said. "And afterwards, you can have hot cocoa."

"It'll be great," Tony promised. But would it be great on loop was the real question here.

Every day would be a fun surprise to Steve?

It was Jo’s last library shift before she went home for the holidays and then she’d be officially done for the semester and would be spending the next couple of weeks visiting her family.

She was looking forward to going home even though it was going to be weird going back to her time period after experiencing everything that she had at Fandom and life in 2021.

The only thing she had noticed on the way in that seemed unusual had been the snow on the ground that seemed to be sugar and she had tracked some of it into the library, so she was trying to clean that mess up and then see if anything else needed tidying.
