A Traveler's Guide to Hyrule; Thursday, First Period [12/16].

"Good morning, my intrepid Hylian travelers!" Sidon greeted the class with even more of the usual excitement and eagerness, if such a thing was even possible, grinning from sidefin to sidefine. "And I hope you are ready for adventure for our final class of the semester! And it's not an adventure to be missed! Our portal will be here soon, but, in the meantime, surely you recall all the lizard hunting we did last week....well! Those efforts have been put to good use because I have here," he hefted up a very large bag that clattered with the sounds of glass bottles within, "a wealth of Fireproof Elixirs, concocted by none other than the delightful Gaile that we met last week at the Foothill Stable! And we will need a lot of them, as well, as we shall be going to the very heart of Death Mountain itself, via Goron City! And you'll soon realize that I am not being hyperbolic when I tell you that this place is hot! So please, do not be stingy with the application of your elixirs, they will be needed to resist the heat and fire of this place. Each one will grant you about five short minutes, so don't be stingy. We wish to return as unsinged as possible!


"Are there any questions before we leave? Once we arrive, I encourage you to explore and speak with the Goron people while we are there and take in the sights, though I do warn you not to venture too far away from the city proper, as it is incredibly dangerous even on the main paths. Explore at your own risk and only if you have a weapon!"

Despite himself, he bounced a little on the balls of his feet. Yes, a nine-foot tall Zora, eager as if he were but a small hatchling. But this was as much a thrilling adventure for him as it was the students! He was quite certain that no Zora had ever ventured this deep into Death Mountain. They were about to make their own Hylian history today.

"Come grab as many Elixirs as you can carry, and let us prepare for adventure!"

Bardic Inspiration 2: the Bardening, Thursday, Period 2

Class was back to the inn again today, only with several rows of benches dragged out and positioned against the wall, and a dozen odd adorable moppets (and only truly terrifying NPCakin balancing on his knees) standing on them.

"It's your final!" Jaskier proclaimed cheerfully. "Which, of course, must conclude with a show!"

"A show involving a back up choir," Cara said, almost as cheerfully, because she'd already decided to block her ears. "That you'll have to teach your number to beforehand."

Jaskier gave the class an encouraging smile and semi-manic nod. "It'll be fine!"

"If not, it's not like your grades actually matter in this place." Harsh, Cara.

Library, Thursday 12/16

Belle did not recognize the song that seemed to be coming from various corners of the library today. Of course, Belle wasn’t terribly familiar with any holiday music except what she'd heard in passing the past few weeks.

After the song had repeated several times Belle found herself humming along as she shelved books. That would have been fine if the song didn't continue repeating the entire rest of her shift. She was never getting it out of her head, was she?

World Mythology, Thursday, Period 3

 Papers papers everywhere, along with large leather-bound volumes that seemed to tower over Ghanima's desk.  Ghanima herself, however, was for once not holding piles of handouts. 

"Today, class, we journey back to the Classical era, to visit the land of myth that many of you from this planet are perhaps most familiar with.  Today, we meet the Greeks." 

( For word of hate let word of hate be said, cries Justice. Stroke for bloody stroke must be paid. The one who acts must suffer. )

"I'd like you to discuss whether or not Orestes can be held accountable for his actions.  This is the first ever recorded case of 'extenuating circumstances', and the Gods play a large role.  Under orders, or under a curse?  Does it even matter?  You decide."
