"Morning, everyone!" Amaya said, greeting all of her two students, but that didn't bother her much, because that just meant that there was much more room for individual attention and, hopefully, being able to tailor the class to their particular skills a little more, which could open the door for some exciting new projects! "And welcome to Shop Class, where we build things, and that's pretty much it. We'll be working with a lot of different projects and materials here, and since we're a small class, if there's anything in particular you'd like to focus on, you just let me know, and we'll probably be able to do it. And since it's just the two of you, I figure we'll all get to know each other through the course of our work, so I say we just jump right into it with our first project: the classic birdhouse!

"Now, sometimes for this class, I'll get everyone started with some precut pieces that they can just put together, but we've got the time and resources to start out with a even more imprtant lesson, and that's how to use a table saw. Now, before we get into anything, let's talk a little bit about safety..."

Which, naturally, lead into a well-detailed description of what sort of safety precautions were considered to be requirements for this class, including a nice and colorful decription of exactly why, especially when working with power tools and saws, it was so important, descriptions that were probably a little much for this early in the morning, unless you were into that sort of thing.

And once the safety lecture and the safety equipment was dolled out, it was time for a practical demonstration on how to cut your pieces of wood for the birdhouses, and then a little explanation on how they were going to then put those pieces together.

"I've got some patterns for pieces here if you'd like to use them," she explained with a gesture, "although if you want to try and freehand it, too, I'll definitely encourage that. Mistakes are just opportunities to learn more! And if you're going to make mistakes, best make them in the shape of your pieces rather than in the shape of your hand, if you get what I mean!

"If there aren't any questions, I'll let you two get to it, then!"

Jon sat at the desk in front of the room, trying not to fidget as the students made their ways in. When the clock said it was time and everybody seemed to be there, he pushed his chair back and stood, swallowing nervously before nodding to them and standing up straight. He could do this. Just pretend like he was back at his first day in the Archives, only less of a prick.

"Hello. I'm Jonathan Sims. You can call me Mr. Sims. I've never actually taught school before, but I understand you may be used to that. This class is supposed to be about fear in literature," he grimaced a bit at that, "but we haven't actually met yet, so I suppose we'll start the actual literature next week. If you could please read "The Premature Burial" by Edgar Allan Poe, and be prepared to discuss it. For now, I suppose if you could introduce yourselves, we can get started with that. Your name, and...ah...where you're from, and why you're in this class." That sounded reasonable, didn't it?

"Hello," Anakin said, sweeping into the classroom with his cloak swooping behind him (and yes, he did practice to make it look cool. Shh.) "I am Anakin Skywalker, this is Ethics class, and you will sit down, shut up, and learn something."

It was best to set the tone early.

"Since it's the first week of classes, you may think that today will be about introductions, and it is, in a way. Our school is on a multidimensional nexus that brings beings of all ages and experiences together. So my question is a short one: do you think there are ethics? Is there anything universal in our standards of conduct that unites us across space and time?"

So starting out easy, Anakin.

He pointed to the student to his left. "You. Go."

Nick was back in the Danger Shop, which was good because while it would look like the same apartment every week... who knew what state the fake apartment would be in by the end of it.

"Hey," he greeted them, in a good mood. "Welcome to Fixin' Stuff. In this class you're gonna learn why you don't need to call someone to fix your problems at home. It's easy enough to fix it yourself and not invite people into the sanctuary you call your home. Also it's cheap.

"Today, you're going to learn to change a light bulb. To practice, all the light bulbs in this three-bedroom apartment are going out. So you are going to turn off the light," he said, going to the nearest lamp to do that, "you unscrew the bulb, and you've taken the bulb out. Then you put a new bulb in."

Nick was someone who'd absolutely accidentally shocked himself and fallen off a ladder before.

"There's also a trick where if the numbers breaks you can remove it by using a potato but really that means you look like a dumbass using a potato to unscrew a lightbulb. Now you try."
