A weird feeling in the air that morning combined with an official summons back to the Seireitei for what was being called 'official Shinigami training' left Shunsui feeling actually a little glad for the distraction that his class would provide that week. It allowed him to put off, at least for a little bit, having to decide which was the lesser of two annoyances: dealing with whatever was going to be going on here, if anything, or deal with...'official Shinigami training.'
Both left the impression that they would be thoroughly annoying, but no one really cared when he skipped out of stuff
here. With the Soul Society, there were at
least three hens that would be pecking at him regarding his absense, so he supposed he was on his way back there as soon as his 'obligations' here were fulfilled. Which meant he saw no reason why not to try to
put off the inevitable while things were just
a weird feeling in the air around the island for him.
"
Konnichiwa, ducklings ♥!" he greeted them brightly. "Todays' game will be our last one," here, he gave a little bit of a pout as if he wasn't rady to be done with a class that had him doing fighting stuff, "and since we're all adults here, I'd like to celebrate a successful passage of another summer session by treating you all to drinks of your choice at the bar later, if you would like to celebrate all your fine work done here in this course ♥."
And totally not just an excuse why he couldnt' return to the Seireitei earlier, really! It was just coincidence that he would be delayed because he made a promise to his students, and he couldnt' just
break a promise, could he? How terribly dishonorable!
"But
that ♥," he flashed a grin, "is for later ♥. For now, allow me to introduce you to
Irooni, which means
Lustrous Demon. It is a color-based game, one that employs a bit of strategy and consideration. You see, before you strike, you must choose a color, and it is only when you strike
that color on your opponant that you will do any damage. So, of course, if someone where to fight me and choose Pink, they would do well to attack at my back, but have a little success of they were going for my chest; they would want to choose Black for that, and should I shed my
haori," he let it flutter to the ground for effect, standing there now instead in his white captains' robe over his black base robe, "they would be in trouble, as there is now nothing n my person they can strike with effect. Simple enough, right?"
And here, he had to chuckle.
"
Unfortunately," and that word
was infused with a great deal of sincerity, "there is one other catch. The damage you are able to do is directly correlated to how much of that color you
yourself are wearing ♥. So let's say," he swept down a moment to pick the
haori back up, slipping it back over his shoulders, "
I were to choose pink. I could make myself incredibly vulnerable, since so much of my body is covered by pink, but, since so much of what I am wearing
is pink, I can deal
far more damage when I strike someone wearing pink. If I were to choose
black, and shed
both my outer robes, then I make myself even more vulnerable, but can cause more damage to my opponant if they are wearing black.
"Make sense ♥?" He snorted faintly. "It's fine if it doesn't. Basically, it is as much strategy as anything. I
do have some interesting and colorful clothing options available if you'd like to make things a bit more interesting, but, with that, find a partner and let's play ♥.
"And, don't forget ♥. Drinks on me later for your troubles ♥."
