"Good morning, everyone," Ignis greeted the class as per usual, the supplies and ingredients well stocked and gathered on everyone's work stations with the clear indication that they would be getting right into things that morning. "And welcome back. This week, we'll be continuing our foray into baking, in a way that will emphasized the fact that precision is key in ensuring that the final product is light, fluffy, and delicious. Today, we turn our attention to cupcakes.

"The nice thing about cupcakes is that they're quite a modest dessert or treat that leans itself to a wide range of variety and quite a bit of creativity in the end. For the purposes of our class, we will walk through a simple, though classic, vanilla cupcake, and once we've managed that, we'll make it our own in the decorating process afterwards. Because cooking is just food until you give it your own personal flair, and that is when it becomes art.

"If there are no questions before we start, we will get started and mix up our batters together for the sake of time. Take a moment to prepare yourself, and your stations, and then we will begin."

"Morning!" Annie sang out (not literally.) Today, the Danger Shop had been made up to look like an actual theater, with a stage, curtains, sound system, lighting booth, and an actual audience auditorium full of plush red seats. Annie herself was sitting on the edge of the stage, dangling her feet. "The thing about performing arts is while the performer onstage might actually be the focus of the audience's attention, they're not doing all the work themselves. Not by a long shot. You've got tech people up in the booth," she said, pointing to a window up at the back of the auditorium, "you have stage hands in the wings feeding lines and helping with costume changes, you've got the orchestra down here in the pit -- " She waved an arm into the chasm in front of the stage, where her feet were dangling. "There's so much more going on than just whoever the audience is looking at."

She bounced up to her feet. "So, today, I want you to walk around the theater and try stuff. There's costumes backstage, with velcro in places you wouldn't expect for quick changes. The lighting and sound equipment is set up for you guys to be able to just hit switches and turn knobs and do stuff. You can climb down into the pit and bang on some timpani if you want." Annie wouldn't judge; she did that before you all got here. "And let me know if you have any questions, or if anything really sparks your interest!"

The shop was set up to look like a baseball field this week. A mostly normal one at that! But, who really knew where the lava pits could be hidden.

Under the plates, it gave a whole new meaning to being tagged out.

"It's spring now," Magnus said. "And that means baseball!"

"And our extensive study of baseball has told us two things, sharks make excellent ball substitutes." Not when people didn't have magic to fling them around it didn't. "And the best way to win is to use the dead."

"Angels, ghosts, maybe a lich or two," Magnus suggested. "So, I guess we gotta work on summoning or raising the dead?"

"Don't think about stealing the zombie band though," Cara said. "I doubt they're any better at sports than music."

"So, I don't think either of us are big on the magic thing, so we're learning with you." Oh no. "We should probably start with the blood sacrifices and the dark incantations?" He suggested, turning toward Cara for confirmation.

"That sounds about right," Cara said drily. "Please don't attempt this outside the Danger Shop, in case it actually works."

"You're going to need stuff," Booker said. "How are you going to get it? Cash doesn't leave a footprint, but can you get everything you need with cash? Do you have enough cash? Do you have skills or abilities you can barter? How morally opposed are you to theft? And if you can't get what you need through any of those methods, what's your next play? How do you keep from being traced when you're ordering specialized equipment over the internet? Discuss."
