This week, the class would find themselves in a dark, dank cavern, illunated softly by a few torches and bioluminescent plants, passages winding away into the unknown depths of a goblin kingdom. Before them, several cells of wood and iron bars awaited them with the promise of the challenge to come.

"Morning, everyone," Amaya greeted them with a nod and a faintly apologetic smile. "I've got some bad news for you. While you were all able to fend off that first attack of goblins last week, there was an even bigger group of them waiting in ambush further down the road, and you've all been captured, so into the cells you go, where you'll find your next challenge."

Assuming, of course, there weren't any particular objections with just playing along, anyway, though if there were, she'd consider them.

She hadn't even intended to make this sort of a story, following a narration of a sort, but the thought just struck her and she decided to roll with it to see where it went.

"Now," she said, once that was settled and everyone was in, "all is not lost, however, because while you may not have your usual weapons, you are not without resources, and the goblins have just delivered your meal. They'll be back around in about half an hour to collect the dishes and be generally obnoxious at you, because that's just what goblins do, and that will be your opportunity to strike. But what will you strike with? How can you use what you've got around you now to fight your way out of this particular conundrum?

"Efficiency is nice, and preferred if this were the real world," she continued, "but remember that there's a Creative in title of this class, so see if you can really wring your noggin' for something that isn't so obvious or easy. Everyone pretty much has the same things to work with in this one, with one exception: it appears that there is something left behind by a previous occupant, if you can find it, and perhaps that may be the key to your solution.

"Everyone ready?" Amaya nodded, pounded a fist into her palm. "Let's get this show on the road."

Once again it was Monday and 8:00. Time for science class!

The usual notices went out to the students in typical handwavy fashion requesting that they wear tank tops to class. If they did not have one Barry would provide. Along with that notice was to meet in the park once again where Barry had arranged a tent for changing (much smaller this time) and a table with coffee and snacks.

And yes, there was another table covered in a sheet.

“When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return,” Barry said once everyone had gathered. “That’s not me saying that. It’s fucking Leonardo Da Vinci. Who for being the bastard son of a peasant girl did pretty well for himself. As for me bullshiting around with one of his famous quotes, that’s just my clumsy way of saying we’re going flying today.”

He pulled back the sheet to reveal... cans of RedBull and goggles. “Everyone here can drink one of these and... well fuck. I’ll just demonstrate. “

Barry opened a can and took a long drink. Moments later feathers and then eventually wings sprouted from his back. He began to flap and eventually was hovering above the students.

“Yeah. That’s what is fucking happening right now,” he said with a grin. “And if growing wings or fighting gravity isn’t for you-“

He motioned to another table filled with books.

-“You can write an essay on birds today. Don’t forget for everyone flying to wear the goggles to protect your eyes. Also make sure to write down your observations about flight in your journals.”

And as promised, this week the class was in the Danger Shop, which looked a little bit like a store in a mall. There were parts of costumes hanging from racks, capes hanging from the wall, belts and boots and accessories on shelves.

"Last week I asked you what kind of superhero you wanted to be. It's a great idea to have in mind, but it doesn't start to feel real until you actually suit up. Do you have a code name? You don't have to- I don't currently, really- but maybe it informs what you want to look like. Are you hiding your identity? Do you want a mask? Do you want to look like a typical superhero or do you want to blend in more? Do you have powers that mean you need to wear something more flexible? These are things you have to think about when you're putting together a costume.

"That said, have fun with it. One thing we're going to do in this class is if you decide something's not working for you, if you want a different code name or a different costume, that's cool, you can put something new together. It's the Danger Shop, that's what it's for. You might know exactly what you want to be, or it might take you some time, and you should be able to have room to figure it out. And, you know, sometimes that might mean like, four or five code name and costume changes in a year." Or maybe that was just her. "So today you're going to put at least your first costume together. There are dressing rooms back there, pick whatever parts you like, change things as much as you want, and we'll see what you come up with."
