Creative Weaponry; Monday, Second Period [09/07].

This week, the class would find themselves in a dark, dank cavern, illunated softly by a few torches and bioluminescent plants, passages winding away into the unknown depths of a goblin kingdom. Before them, several cells of wood and iron bars awaited them with the promise of the challenge to come.

"Morning, everyone," Amaya greeted them with a nod and a faintly apologetic smile. "I've got some bad news for you. While you were all able to fend off that first attack of goblins last week, there was an even bigger group of them waiting in ambush further down the road, and you've all been captured, so into the cells you go, where you'll find your next challenge."

Assuming, of course, there weren't any particular objections with just playing along, anyway, though if there were, she'd consider them.

She hadn't even intended to make this sort of a story, following a narration of a sort, but the thought just struck her and she decided to roll with it to see where it went.

"Now," she said, once that was settled and everyone was in, "all is not lost, however, because while you may not have your usual weapons, you are not without resources, and the goblins have just delivered your meal. They'll be back around in about half an hour to collect the dishes and be generally obnoxious at you, because that's just what goblins do, and that will be your opportunity to strike. But what will you strike with? How can you use what you've got around you now to fight your way out of this particular conundrum?

"Efficiency is nice, and preferred if this were the real world," she continued, "but remember that there's a Creative in title of this class, so see if you can really wring your noggin' for something that isn't so obvious or easy. Everyone pretty much has the same things to work with in this one, with one exception: it appears that there is something left behind by a previous occupant, if you can find it, and perhaps that may be the key to your solution.

"Everyone ready?" Amaya nodded, pounded a fist into her palm. "Let's get this show on the road."

Well, these metal rings on this.binder could certainly be helpful, as.far as weapons went, and Freya was considering what else might be used out of what was available, because the only thing she was thinking of so far was some sort of claw device, which would be a little superfluous, considering she already had those...

Honestly, even in this form, Julius was much stronger than an average human. The smart thing to do would probably be to turn the bed into a massive club and just hit the goblins with it. But the teacher had asked for creativity, so...

Okay, so the balloons were probably the best item to have gotten. They made for perfect, elasticized fasteners. A few balloons tied around a pair of the stool legs and then knotted together? Makeshift nunchucks. More balloons tied together with a slipknot? A decent garrote. And with the remains of that gross porridge...

"Can I have anyone's spoon?" he called to his classmates. "Anyone not using their spoon?"

Lana shrugged and tossed her spoon to him, using the Force to make sure it got there. "Have mine."

Lana hummed and searched, finding the globe without too much difficulty - it wasn't exactly small.

She sat to meditate and think. She could of course use the Force, but this was supposed to be creative.

After a while, she got up, pulled the globe out of its stand, and threw it at the wall with just a little push so that it would shatter. She cleared the area in front of her cell door, then poured the porridge and water out there and put the pieces down over it, curved side down. There, nice and slippery. She spread just enough straw over the top to hide it in the dim light and waited, the globe's stand in hand.

Sure, Julius had made some makeshift weaponry. That was the assignment, after all. But when the goblins came in, he reverted true to form.

"Hey, I think we should maybe try to talk to each other," he said. "We can probably find some common ground...?"

Lana hid the globe stand behind her back and did her best to look innocent and cowed.
