The arena that week was set up in a big pit and there were several large metal ball cages just waiting for some victims gladiators to be put inside of them, so this should be fun.

"Today," she informed the class, "we do the Atlasphere, which is basically just an excuse to roll around in big metal cage balls. There are five slightly raised scoring pods on the field; your goal is to try and activate as many of them as possible in the allotted time by rolling your atlasphere onto it. You'll know you got it because it'll emit smoke into your atlasphere when done right, then move on to the next and try to prevent the others from scoring more points. You've got five minutes to gear up and get settled in your sphere, then then we're off. And there's something special for the gladiators who get the most points next week, so that's your insentive to win...other than, you know, winning being awesome.

"Questions?"

Well, your teachers were meant to be here, class. Heck, they'd even gone out to try scouting for a place to take you all on an adventure. But that scouting had been done via the new Dodo Airline and they didn't have the Nook Miles to get them home.

Also, someone might have threatened the pilot (Cara) and someone had been stung repeatedly by the tarantulas (Magnus). So. Maybe it was best that you got some free time to go collect more materials for crafting.

Which was why there was a slightly drunk squirrel attempting to write 'Class is cancelled' on the board and failing.

He was doing his best, okay?

Class was back in the Home Ec room where there were clean aprons for all this week along with lovely conditioned air for all to enjoy.

There was also an adorable cartoon frog, who somehow had a beard, at the front of the room with Stark.

“Hi, I’m Prince, burrup!”

“This is Prince,” Stark confirmed. “He volunteered to be a guest judge today.” Actually, Prince had walked up to Stark, and cheerfully told him his bug friends said Stark would have cupcakes and that he would share. Stark wasn’t sure how the bugs would have known that but he was willing to go along with it.

“The bugs that live under my floor told me to come!” Prince said cheerfully. “So I went on a snack run for cupcakes!”

“Since it was too hot to bake last week,” Stark said, “this will be our first regular class. The rules are very simple. The ingredient that needs to be included will be revealed. You will bake some cupcakes with that ingredient. Some weeks we may have a theme instead of one ingredient. You have until the end of the class. Don’t forget frosting.” It’s just a muffin if there isn’t frosting, people. “Prince and I will taste your cupcakes and I’ll announce the winner next class. If you’d like to work in pairs, feel free, or work alone if you prefer. Your ovens are preheated, the pantry is stocked with every moddable ingredient you might need, and there are little cards with acorns on them on the table over there if you need recipe inspiration.” It was possible some of those cards held recipes for wallpaper and furniture instead of just food. This is a weird island. Weird things happen.

“The secret ingredient is…” Prince paused for effect, before whipping away the towel that was covering said ingredient “marshmallows, burrup!” Just in case you missed s’mores last week and felt like you’d missed out on marshmallowy goodness.

“Enjoy!”

[OCD coming up!]
