The class was asked to meet outside that morning, where they'd find Amaya waiting for them with a collection of supplies, weights, the usual tools, and a whole lot of pumpkins. So many pumpkins. Even without a bunch of jack-o-lanterns terrorizing the staff at Covent Garden this year, Amaya seemed to have absolutely no problem obtaining a ridiculous amount of pumpkin. Where there was a will, there was a way, and the real curious part now would just be how she'd managed to get them all there on the school lawn.

"Morning, everyone!" she greeted the class brightly when it seemed they were all mostly there. "Even though the island's been doing a great job of helping us get into the spirit," yes, intentional, unfortunately, "of the upcoming holiday, I thought we'd continue with our own pumpkin theme and get around to some good old pumpkin chuckin', which I hear is traditional this time of year, and, if it isn't? Well, it should be!"

Look, it involved trebuchets and projectiles, she really didn't even need an excuse, but it was nice to sort of pretend she was being thematic.

"So I've got some instructions here on how to build a trebuchet, which we all know is the superior seige weapon, as well as all the materials and tools you'll need. I'd like this one to be a group project; it'll be easier to get a nice, solid construction if you all work together. That'll make the job a lot quicker, too, which will give you more time to test it out, vary the weights, and see just how many of these pumpkins we can make disappear into the preserve, and maybe startle an alot of wild animals while we're at it. I'm here, of course, should you have any questions, but I think I'll just let you all get to work. Time's a wastin'! These pumpkins aren't going to chuck themselves."

Well, they might, because Fandom. But at the current moment, it looked like it was entirely up to the students.
