"Good morning, students!" Vanessa looked absolutely thrilled today for some reason. Some mysterious reason.

It was probably the inexplicably hot blond chick next to her. Because, look kids, it was gonna be A Week,

"Wow, these are so distracting," she said, looking down at her own chest. It was Wade. It was clearly Wade. You all knew these things were happening, right?

"Stop poking them, baby," Vanessa said without looking. "That's for later. We have to teach the children now." Boring. "And today we're doing...House Hunters! Wait, no. Not competitive. Shit. I already programmed the houses. Okay, we're doing Trading Spaces!"

Wade sighed, keeping her hands to herself for now. "We even brought the straw to really fuck up a room with your 'aesthetic'."

There was a large pile of paint and what seemed to be half of a crafting store dumped in the corner of the room for people to use. And yes, here was glitter. Because glitter was always there.

"So your assignment for today is to redecorate the living room of one of these perfectly innocent bland suburban houses using the handwavey materials provided. Bonus points will be awarded for creativity." AKA 'really fucking up a room with your aesthetic.' "We've carefully and thoughtfully divided you into two teams." By which she meant they'd drawn a line in the middle of the class roster.

"Loser gets kicked off the island." Still a no, Wade. Still a no.

"They still won't let us do that," Vanessa reminded Wade. She sounded pretty bummed about it. "Now get to trading those spaces, or whatever the catchphrase is!"

"Good morning, students-- including ones I don't recognize..."

Anyone who'd been hoping to see their teacher with curves would have to go home disappointed. Lucifer was an angel; he looked however he felt at any point in time, and right now, he felt like a mopey, still-depressed Lucifer.

"Before we head on to interrogate some suspects and witnesses from the rickshaw case, I'd like you all to get some practice on interrogation technique," he said. He clapped his hands. "Half of you are criminals. You may take your crimes from the crime jar."

He gestured, helpfully, to the crime jar.

"The other half of you must interrogate the other person and attempt to determine what crime has been committed based only on the evidence mentioned on the back of the crime note."

He clapped his hands. "Go on. Torture each other into giving up the goods."

"Good morning," Ghanima said as everyone arrived in the Danger Shop. "Today, we are going somewhere slightly warmer than last week."

"Rainforests are forests characterized by high rainfall, with definitions setting minimum normal annual rainfall between 1750–2000 mm. The monsoon trough, alternately known as the intertropical convergence zone, plays a significant role in creating Earth's tropical rain forests. 40 to 75% of all species on the world's habitats are indigenous to the rainforests. It has been estimated that many millions of species of plants, insects, and microorganisms are still undiscovered. Tropical rainforests have been called the "jewels of the Earth", and the "world's largest pharmacy", because over one quarter of natural medicines have been discovered there. Rainforests are also responsible for 28% of the world's oxygen turn over, often misunderstood as oxygen production, processing it through photosynthesis from carbon dioxide and storing it as carbon through biosequestration."

"A tropical rainforest is a biome found within 10 degrees north or south of the equator. They are common in Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, Central America, Mexico and on many of the Pacific Islands. Minimum normal annual rainfall between 1,750 millimetres and 2,000 millimetres occurs in this climate region. Mean monthly temperatures exceed 18 °C during all months of the year."

"The rainforests are home to more species or populations than all other biomes added together. 80% of the world's biodiversity are found in tropical rainforests. The leafy tops of tall trees - extending from 50 to 85 meters above the forest floor - forms an understory. Organic matter that falls to the forest floor quickly decomposes, and the nutrients are recycled."

"Tall, broad-leaved evergreen trees are the dominant plants, forming a leafy canopy over the forest floor. Taller trees, called emergents, may rise above the canopy. The upper portion of the canopy often supports a rich flora of epiphytes, including orchids, bromeliads, mosses, and lichens, who live attached to the branches of trees. The undergrowth or understory in a rain forest is often restricted by the lack of sunlight at ground level, and generally consists of shade-tolerant shrubs, herbs, ferns, small trees, and large woody vines which climb into the trees to capture sunlight. The relatively sparse under story vegetation makes it possible for people and other animals to walk through the forest. If the leaf canopy is destroyed or thinned, the ground beneath is soon colonized by a dense, tangled growth of vines, shrubs, and small trees called a jungle."

"Today you have two options. You can wander around the ground level, looking for medicinals and various creatures and plants, or you can climb the trees"

Kitty had emailed the class to tell them to come to the normal classroom today, which looked pretty not-computer-y.

"I was trying to be nice," she said, looking very close to a facepalm, "because I figured maybe this week would be weird and maybe you all could relax a bit and enjoy a movie, and the attempt was to get something cheesy and computer-related, something from the 90s when people were vastly wrong about what the internet was. Instead, the rental was... something else. I'm really sorry. Maybe there's a lesson?"

And with that, she hit play.

It was the Lindsay Lohan version, too.
