You know what? On second thought, Amaya decided she might have been better off having been execute on Saturday after all, because if she'd been executed, she wouldn't have to deal with facing her class this week.

The one she'd gone and forced manditory hugs on. All her work yesterday had been a nice distraction from the fact that she'd have to face her class this morning, but ever since then, she was pretty sure her palm was perminentaly attached to face. And even though she was very clearly not in her right mind at all last week, she felt that should hardly excuse her, and it was time to own up and face the music. Better make it quick, too; just hack off the limb instead of letting it fester.

"Right, then," she said, once it seemed like mostly everyone was there and it was time to start class anyway, "I think I owe you all an apology for last week, what with all the hu...all the huuu--," she cleared her throat sternly, come on, Blackstone, out with it, "all the hugs. Which is all fine and dandy if you're into that sort of thing, but, believe me, I feel as strongly as anyone that hugs should never be manditory, and, quite frankly, I'd be okay if they were abolished altogether."

For a brief moment, she shuddered, as the lingering memory of last week went and crept back up on her again, but she forged (ha!) forward all the same.

"To make it up to you," she said, gesturing at the danger shop, which hummed to life to set up the very large and elaborate armory she and Diaz had spent a good deal of time putting together last night, nearly every nook and cranny and rack stuffed with as wide a variety of weapons as they could come up with, "today, we're going to do a sort of free-for-all. Detective Diaz and I have tried to think of every weapon we could think of to make it available to you today so that you can just sort of explore and pick out things that interest you to learn about. Now, keep in mind, I'm from a world that has no proper electricity, and Detective Diaz is from what she calls 'boring ass regular Earth,' so we might be a little limited, as we don't know much about things like lightsabers or plasma guns," but she was working on it!, "but we did what we could.

"If you've got questions about what a weapon is or about the history of it," Amaya said, because she knew a lot of the students were actually paying attention during those parts and she loved it, "ask away. If you need to know how to use a weapon, we'll help you out there, too. If you just want to play around and figure it out on your own, I'm all for that, because, hey, it's the Danger Shop, right? If there's any time to try and figure out a weapon on your own, it's going to be in here. So have at it. You've got the whole class period to just sort of explore on your own and make the most out of having actual weapons at your disposal."

Amaya might not entirely feel that it fully made up for all the hugging, but it seemed like a pretty good start.

"So, last week's class never happened," Tony said once everyone arrived. "Or at least most of the 'lessons' are going to be ignored because island weirdness."

So much island weirdness.

"We are very much not okay with people spying on you without your knowledge to judge you on things you might not have even done. I blew up a couple of helicarriers to make that point more obvious to my government," Steve added.

"He actually did," Tony added. Because Steve was a drama queen of the highest order. "But that's a story for another time. Today is our last class of the summer."

"So we're going to do one last trip into public transportation, because trying to get places on time can be the most aggravating part of living in the urban wilderness," Steve said.

"But nothing is worse than trying to get somewhere when there is a citywide festival or a major sports event going on at the same time," Tony said. "Unfortunately we programmed both of those things for you."

"Because it's much easier to learn in the hypothetical then get screamed at by a ninety year old woman in a Yankees cap because she thinks you cut her off on the way to the subway," Steve muttered.

"He's a Dodgers fan," Tony mock whispered. "It's been a pleasure having you all in our class and we hope to see you again in the fall."

It wasn't that Aphra was hungover at the start of class, but she wasn't not hungover either. "So I've had a week." A week and half actually. That had involved far more drinks with umbrellas than was particularly wise. Toy weirdness? What toy weirdness? "So movie. Bout plans."

She didn't care that she'd already shown this movie during one class or another. There were some magnificent boobs in it.
