Look. Amaya liked the whole open clearing in a forest for a festival sort of set-up for this class; it reminded her of home, and it seemed to be working pretty well, so she was sticking with it, one area clearly set for the lesson and going over the weapons, the other area set up with a flock of practice dummies just waiting to meet their brutal fates. And brutal it would be, for today, they were talking maces.

Well, ACTUALLLLLLY..... )

"Any questions?" she asked. "I think we'll leave them to Detective Diaz, although stars only know if there's anything she didn't cover. And if not...let's go smash some dummies, shall we?"

It had taken a few trips through portals that had no business being there to get to the school, but Steve and Tony had finally managed it. They had mad survival skillz, yo. Also a touch of trial and error leading up to the class.

"So today we'll be talking about the urban version of fishing," Tony said. "Take out."

Sure. That tracked.

"And delivery, which is probably an additional level of difficulty this week," Steve said.

"Step one is identifying what food you want. A little hard when you have all kinds of options," Tony added. "Mexican, Japanese, Thai, a classic burger..."

"If you're in New York, you can order breakfast, Wakandan, Ethiopian, Nepalese--" Steve said, grinning. "So know what you want before you pick up the phone?"

"Oh god, I want some dumplings now." See? Clear decisions! Tony soldiered on from this powerful need, however. "Second part is picking the right place. And not one where you'll be sick for the next eight hours."

"A long time ago, you just had to chance it or base it off of friends' advice, but I can eat anything, so I'm normally not a great source," Steve said. "Now you can check reviews online."

"It's a brave, new world out there," Tony said dryly. "There are also a bunch of apps out there to order food for pick up or delivery. Makes everything so much easier when this island goes nuts."

"Though tip heavily if you use them when the island goes nuts. It's not the delivery person's fault," Steve added. "Everyone pull out your phones and we'll give you a few app options."

"We also ordered pizza," Tony said. Because this time he was prepared and the food wasn't going to be eaten by a certain someone.

"We didn't ask you what you wanted because life is too short to make a group order," Steve, who had done that with the Avengers only once, declared.

Once was more than enough.

"Just don't actually order anything because..." Tony gestured outside rather than finish up that thought.

"It's wasteful with the pizza already coming," Steve added.
