Kanan had been planning, on his way to the classroom, to teach a lesson today about how to carry enough on your person when going into unfamiliar situations that students should potentially be covered for, at the very least, a violent encounter or an injury of some sort. Unfortunately, by the time he made his way into the black-and-white classroom, took a brush to the black-and-white chalkboard to clean off the day's previous lesson (whatever it might have been), straightened his necktie and tugged his tweed blazer into place, and set up the good ol' modern miracle that was the reel-to-reel projector, little things like first aid had completely managed to slip his mind.

"Good morning, class," he said, giving his students a wholesome 1950s smile. "Today we're going to be watching a film strip about what to do in the event of an atomic bomb, so settle in and make sure to pay attention!"

Yep. They were definitely watching that Duck and Cover film strip.

That was a thing they were doing.

And if Mr. Jarrus, mild-mannered high school teacher, had any idea that the whole thing was absolute - ahem - bullshit, well, he wasn't paid enough to disabuse his students of that notion.

He might have rolled his eyes from the back of the darkened classroom a bit, though.

[OOC: Open! Feel free to AU into 1950s schoolchildren or stay the same or come in as whatever other AU you want to be, today. Mmm, chaos.]

Anakin was running a few minutes late on account of a portal dropping him into a world full of angry, sentient shrimp and he had no idea where Aeryn had ended up.

"Right," he said to those students who'd managed to get to class. "We're going to try to stay in one place as much as possible today since the island is back to being ridiculous again. Today we're going to play a fun game about murder."

Sure, Anakin. "It's called Clue, and you've all been assigned a character to make my life easier."

Billy: Mrs. Peacock
Lana: Mrs. White
Bobby : Miss Scarlet
Janet: Colonel Mustard
Sidon: Professor Plum

He passed out the various cards--weapons, characters, and rooms--after stuffing one of each into the little envelope at the center of the board game. "This is a process of elimination game," he explained. "If you have a card, or get a card, it can't possibly be in that little envelope, right? So your job is to go around to the various rooms and figure out who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room, and with which weapon. You move into a room and make a guess. If you have a card someone is asking for, you must show it to them, but if someone else gives them a card first, well...too bad for them." He clapped his hands together. "Enjoy or whatever."

[OOC: The final solution is Miss Scarlett in the study with the rope, and RNG says Lana figures it out!]

Hannibal greeted his students as usual at Portalocity, then nodded and started. "This week seems...odd, but unpredictable. So, we will start with dinner, in Lima, Peru. That will make four of the seven continents of Earth we've seen so far. The primary language there is Spanish; I speak that, and if any of you speak it as well, please speak up so the others will know they can use you as a resource. Peru's standard cuisine owes much to any number of immigrant groups in the area; the restaurant we'll be visiting pares down some of those influences and focuses on local ingredients and flavors from the Amazon forest. The chef has researched quite a bit, and formed relationships with local suppliers that enable him to offer a wide variety."

The portal opened, and they would step through into a wide, sunny street in front of the restaurant.

"After this," he informed them, "we will be visiting the Mercado Central, the central market, where you may find everything from clothes to meat on sale. Also, I am told, pickpockets, so keep an eye on your valuables." He'd mostly be watching to see if any of said thieves were bold enough to try him. He'd be impressed if they managed it.
