"Alright, then, class," Amaya greeted them with a nod and a faint smirk; she'd be lying if she said she wasn't looking forward to seeing what they might have come up with for their final project, "this is it. I'll let you all take a few minutes for some last minute touches and whatever you need to do to get your projects set up, but then it's time to go around and show off your machines. Simple as that, and then you're done. You've been a real good class and I just hope you had fun and learned something new and useful."

And she particularly liked how she didn't have to constantly worry about someone exploding this time around.

Truly, it was the little things in life.

"Let's get to it, then!"

For the last class of the semester, they were once again in that workshop/lab that the teachers had designed for each previous class. But there was also a rather simplistic robot there whirring in a little circle.

"So, we all survived last week and this past weekend," Tony said. Because that was an accomplishment.

"Tony still has one of his kids here," Steve teased gently. "Meet Dum-E."

"He's a very simplified AI," Tony said, shooting a look at Steve. Because it wasn't a lie, but... "Built when I was a little younger than most of you."

The robot whirred around, nearly taking out your teachers in the process.

Steve ducked smoothly, used to this. "He's wonderful," he said firmly. "We're very excited to see what you have put together, too."

"Maybe build something a little less accident prone?" Tony suggested, patting the frame of the robot fondly.

"Build something with character," Steve said, smiling fondly at Dum-E.

Class today had been told to dress for warm weather and the water and not much else. Their teachers met them at Portalocity, where Hannibal was in another linen suit, with a bag for his swimsuit, assorted picnic foods, and plenty of sunscreen.

And Jono, surprising nobody, was still rocking the 'jeans, t-shirt, and leather jacket' look, because you can't talk sense into some people. Especially people who were more often than not on fire, apparently.

//I'm almost going to miss this,// he mused. And then shrugged. //Last class before th'summer terms start. We figured we ought to get an early jump on summer now.//

"Today is our final, so - we're going to a place that will be whatever you make of it. You can swim, or enjoy a water park, or view underwater life. You can even golf, if you like. I will have food at the beach, or you can purchase your own. Enjoy yourselves, and return in time for the portal at class end, or the one at eight p.m."

//Remember, it's all on th'school's dime,// Jono added, clearly forever amused by that fact, //so feel free to have yourself a nice meal if you're planning on staying late, hm?//

"It's been a delight teaching you all." Such as it was. "Vette, please see me before you leave."

Class was meeting in the Danger Shop, which was set up an awful lot like an ordinary classroom.

Aphra stood up. "Welcome to your final, where you tell me all about what you learnt from this class," she said cheerfully, then sat back down, looking attentive.

After about two minutes, Aphra flickered, then stood up again. "Welcome to your final, where you tell me all about what you learnt from this class," she said cheerfully, then sat back down, looking attentive. Again.

After about three loops, they'd probably be able to realise what was happening.

So, Verity had had the final last week because it seemed like a good idea to have it before prom not because I couldn't read a calendar. Which left today kinda free from lessons.

"Okay, Verity said, back in the dance studio. "I know many of you are studying for finals, but it's really important to move around sometimes while you're studying. Get your heart rate up, get your blood flowing, that actually helps you retain information better and helps get rid of study fatigue. So today we're going to stretch and then it's a freeform dance class."

She had her playlist set up, a bunch of high-energy songs that could be adapted to formal ballroom dances or just grooved to on a casual basis. Whatever worked best for each student.

"All right, one-and-two-and-three-and begin!"
