Library, Sunday
Sunday, December 9th, 2018 09:08 amLana came in to the library today and had barely settled back with a book about recent Earth history when another book...peeked, if one could call it that...over the edge of the desk. Then another.
She set her current book down. "Yes? Can I help you?"
They both immediately threw themselves on the desk hard enough they slid right off the other end and into her lap.
"Oh! Did you -?" They both fluttered their pages and settled in.
Lana blinked at them. "Well, all right."
She picked up the book she was reading and went back to it. After a while, another book came up to the desk and dropped into her lap. She sighed, but let it. Apparently that was her lot today: being slept on by books.
But the library was open! If she had to kick them off, she would.
