Class had been handwavily asked to meet at Portalocity today, and the teachers greeted them when they arrived.

"We've found a place that we can help out and not have to disguise ourselves or pretend we're in costumes," Hera said with no little amount of relief. "So we're heading into that version of the mainland today."

"About kriffing time Portalocity actually pulls through on something," Kanan muttered, and then shook his head and smiled crookedly. "We'll be doing a little bit of construction work today, for an organization called Habitat for Humanoids."

Elsewhere known as 'Humanity,' but again, if you play with the multiverse, you get what you get.

"They build houses for people that need them, and that's what we'll be doing today," Hera said. "Well, we'll probably be doing more carrying things for people than actual building, but anything we can do will help. If you have any particular skills you can use, please let us or the foreman in charge know." She smiled. "We'll be building this house for a family that hasn't had one since their last one was flooded out; this is one way communities band together to help each other, and they'll be happy to have anyone help that can."

"Oh," Kanan said, grinning a little as he waved the students through the portal. "And safety equipment isn't optional."

Fortunately, because of the nature of this place, there should even be... something... for Sidon.

Just roll with it, students.

"Welcome back," Mitsutada greeted the class. "No guest this week, as there are some missions my Citadel is conducting that meant they could not spare anyone to come visit."

Mitsutada shrugged like it was no big deal, but it was obvious he felt left out of whatever was going on.

"I thought about talking to you about my own former master, Masamune Date, but I thought you could use something fun and uplifting today. So instead, we will be enjoying some..."

The Danger Shop materialized a cooking station in front of Mitsutada. "Yakitori! If any of you do not eat chicken, let me know, and I will prepare some excellent vegetables for you."

Yes, he was just going to walk through how to make chicken yakitori with the children.

He did not have the power of god, but he did have the power of anime on his side.

"Anyone else just exhausted by the news these days?" Steve asked.

Tony raised his hand, clutching his coffee close with the other. "And that's understandable. Especially with the news cycle as it stands these days. Sometimes you need to take a little time off to take care of yourself."

"Otherwise we'll discover if rage-stroke is a thing you can really die from," Steve said, shooting Tony a dubious look. He didn't think it was, but Tony had said it in an attempt to get Steve off of one of his "Someone is Wrong on the Internet" spirals. Bless his heart for trying to shame trolls into submission.

"So, today we've brought some tea and cookies and pillows for a nice, relaxing Friday," Tony said like he didn't notice that look he was getting. "Turning off your phone can help you unwind from non-stop news too."

"Watching something far removed from our current world," Steve said. "Like cartoons, or baking shows."

Tony nodded, going to start two different TVs with one of the offered selections playing on each of them. "We tried to find a cartoon baking show, but no such luck outside of Japan." And they didn't have the power of god and anime on their sides.

"But we're working on it," Steve assured them earnestly.
