Brooke didn’t have kids this weekend (she did have mixed feelings about that), but she didn’t really know what she was walking into with regards to class. T cover her bases, the Danger Shop was set up like a kids’ playroom with toys, and there was a big TV set up.

“Hello and welcome to the fun weekends of Fandom,” she greeted them. “We’re having an easy class, because, uh, if you gave a home there might be kids in it so it’s definitely Home Ec. So there’s stuff to do and we have cartoons playing, and if none of you brought kids, well... deal with it, it’s what you’re getting.”

When the students arrived that day, they'd find the table along the back wall held plenty of juice boxes, granola, and yogurt, and Ghanima was sitting on top of her desk, as usual, but once again dressed very informally.

"Well, it seems that the island has returned to one of my more favorite weekends, so we'll be topical today.  Therefore, we are going to touch on the Romans, and look at the tale of Romulus and Remus. )

"So, what do you think? For those not normally in this class, after spending the weekend with your parents, would it be better or worse to be raised by a wolf? What makes a 'parent?' What is 'family?' Genetics, affection, support? For the regular denizens of Fandom, what makes our guests 'your' children? A quirk of the timeline, or something more eternal?" Ghanima smiled at the class angelically. "Discuss."

There weren't any kids for the teachers, but that didn't make them any happier about this weirdness. Considering all they'd gotten on their doorstep was a big box of birth control and all.

"So, sorry for missing last week. We did not leave the bed." Gross and oversharing, Deadpool. "And apparently you all didn't get the safe sex memo. For shame."

"I see that I'm going to have to teach Sex Ed again," Vanessa said with a frown. "Anyway, what's on the agenda today? Something kid-friendly, I hope.". Seriously, she'd forgotten to check.

"Grilled cheese? Have we done grilled cheese?" he asked, thinking it over.

"I don't think so? Oh, well, if we have, this is your refresher course!" Vanessa declared. "And look, we happen to have all the stuff you need to make a grilled cheese sandwich! Because it's not as easy as just grilling cheese." Not that she had ever tried that while drunk or anything.

"I usually make mine with an ironing board," Deadpool added. You know, helpfully. "So make something. Feed those hungry kids who are still somehow here."

"You have your choice of cheeses and breads, and I guess you can add bacon or something," Vanessa said. "And look, we have cans of tomato soup too!" She didn't remember buying those. "Anyway, get to work. Your bad decisions won't feed themselves."

"This is really what you do all the time?" Unicycle asked.

"Yup," said Tip.

"This is really boring," Unicycle said.

"Yup," said Tip.

They sat at the circulation desk quietly for several moments, Unicycle spinning around in her chair and Tip wishing she'd done it first so she wouldn't feel silly and immature doing it.

"Can we build a fort out of books?" Unicycle asked.

"Yup," said Tip. "Only hardcovers, though. They're more durable."
