"Peanut butter and jelly!" Vanessa said cheerfully. "Sound simple, right? That's because it is! God, I hope none of you are allergic to peanuts." Probably should have checked that first.

Eh, that seemed like a lot of effort.

"Or almond butter. That's a thing now," Deadpool said, frowning at a jar of it. "What fresh hipster shit is it?"

"That's nothing, there was one at the store made out of soy," Vanessa said, and then reassured the class, "Don't worry! I wouldn't make you eat it! But I did get the sunflower seed one because what the hell, why not? And like, twelve kinds of jelly. Jam. Whatever."

"Jam has seeds," Deadpool added helpfully. He totally got that tip from TV, so don't be too proud of him just yet folks. "There are important things to consider. Crust or no crust? How do you cut it? Should you shove a banana in there in a vain attempt at health despite your crippling poverty?"

"White bread or whole wheat, because, again, you're trying to pretend to be healthy?" Vanessa asked. "Or are you using some kind of fancy bread, like sourdough or one with seeds in it? Does it count if you use Nutella? Ooh. Nutella."

Deadpool shoved one of the Nutella jars into her purse because he got you, boo. He got you. "Get moving. We don't have all day."

"And be sure to explain why your choices are correct and your classmates' choices are wrong and bad and they should feel bad," Vanessa said quickly. "That's the best part."

Today, when students arrived, they'd find a note pinned to the door:

Detained due to Politics

Go read your favorite mythology book.

Well, go in if you want? But there's no mythology class today.

[OOC: No class due to player mental health. We will resume next week.]

Tip was on a bit of a history kick today at the library, thanks to a book her mother had sent her full of historical fiction about American teenage girls -- most of them girls of color. She'd stayed up much too late the night before to finish it -- the second to last story was about the Black Panther movement, and it wasn't like she was going to just put it down almost finished after that one, even if it was two AM.

So it was a slightly groggy Tip at the circulation desk today, sipping from a very large Perk to-go cup and reading about the golden age of piracy, the Yukon gold rush, and the 1968 democratic convention. Fandom's library had some fascinating first-hand accounts of all three -- including at least one of someone who was involved in all three.

Time travelling immortals took all the mystery out of historical research.

Today class was back in the Danger Shop with their cooking stations, and each one was outfitted with an assortment of gelatin types, food colorings, small knives and spatulas, along with...syringes?

Hannibal smirked. "Today, we return to gelled things, and we learn about agar." He showed them a number of flakes. "We will be making raindrop cakes. They are deceptively simple in concept, but you will want to ensure you get the mixture and procedure correct so that it stays together. I have enabled us to cheat by using this room to generate a refrigeration unit that will quarter the time it will take to set the cakes. Once you have the basic concept down, you will find a number of moddable mix-ins at your stations, and can work at using them for added flavor and color."

He demonstrated the proper way to dissolve and mix the agar, then waved them toward their stations. "Please ask if you have any questions."
