Cara had intended to hold class across teh causeway today, but she'd gone across to scope thingsa out, heard the accents and immediately turned straight back around. So instead they were in the Danger Shop, which looked a lot like the preserve.

"Adventuring usually means travel, which unless you happen to be very fortunate, means you will spend considerable amounts of time away from the nearest city, or village, or farm. Which means you will need to consider food, because even if you're able to pack and carry a reasonable amount of supplies for your expeced trip, there's every chance that something might happen to it.

"So today you get to figure out how to make a meal from what you can find in the wilderness. Remember, if you don't know that something safe to eat, it probably isn't."

"When you're doing villain stuff, one of the first things you find out is that you're going to hate some people," Fred noted. You were actually in a classroom today, folks! It was time for a brief lecture and some busy work. "Sometimes it'll be the person who stops you the most. Sometimes it'll be some random jerk with a stupid face that you just want to punch. And sometimes it's a mob boss who threatens to have rats eat you. Hate knows no boundaries and can apply to anyone."

"So, today you're going to make a Grudge List. That's a list of people you hate and want to use your resources to screw over with your criminal ways. And remember, while it's a bonus to make money while bringing someone else down, sometimes bringing someone down is its own reward."

"Most of our scenarios have been focused on our time spent here in Fandom," Ben began, "but eventually you'll have to go home again, and sometimes you'll want to bring along your friends. And their universes might not be even a little like your own."

"This, of course, might make a homecoming somewhat... awkward," Obi-Wan said delicately. "Who do you introduce to who? How? What... troubles might arise?"

"Or would you choose to skip it entirely and just never take anyone back with you?" Ben asked.

"Think wisely about the friends you have made, or may make," Obi-Wan said, "And consider your situation at home. Would it be wise?"

"I've taken friends back," Ben said, "even into a warzone, but I chose carefully. Master Kenobi, have you taken anyone back with you?"

"No," Obi-Wan said. "My... current situation does not allow for such things." He smiled faintly. "I believe most people I know would be bored."

Ben shot him an amused look. "Bored," he repeated.

"Not all of our lives can be terribly exciting all the time," Obi-Wan said. Innocently.

"I'm learning to enjoy the value of quiet, myself," Ben replied.

"As am I," Obi-Wan... lied.

The library was quiet. It was very quiet. If you dropped a pen, it made no sound when it hit a floor. Lucille first thought she had suddenly gone deaf, but outside the library she could hear just fine.

At least she wouldn't be disturbed by sound, but she couldn't help thinking how she would be unable to hear if someone tried to sneak up on her.
