Bond had his students meet him out by the abandoned warehouse district, where he waited for them by a fire escape.

"Good afternoon," he greeted them. "Today we're going to be doing some running, but we're going to be running up there." He pointed up towards the rooftops.

"Now there's several disciplines formed around this particular kind of running which would take too much of the class to get into, but the main one I want you to take away from this class is of mindfulness towards your surroundings, which is why we're having it out here instead of in teh Danger Shop as you might get complacent with the safeties. That said, you should be safe enough, provided you keep your own limitations in mind. So up we go."

"Do keep an eye out for the rain, it might be less slippery than water, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take it into account."

Today, the students would find Sam standing in the Danger Shop holding a baseball bat as he adjusted one of the training dummies to make sure it was steady.

"Hey guys. We're going to continue with some basic weapons today, all from the blunt family," he said, pointing to a table with clubs, bats, nightsticks, and other weapons of various sizes and weights. "It really doesn't get more basic than a blunt weapon, but that doesn't mean you can't still do some damage." Sam demonstrated this fact by going up to one of the training dummies and taking a swing that knocked the dummy's head clear off. "In a best case scenario, that was someone you didn't like, or someone trying to invade the island."

Sam showed the students a handful of the weapons--mainly where to hold them, and how much they weighed so no one would grab something they couldn't lift--and then stepped back from the table. "If you want a safe option today, find a partner and fight with these," he said, pointing to some brightly colored Nerf bats. "It's the same concept, just slightly squishier. Or, you can pick a real weapon and go at one of the dummies, or pair up together."

"There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare," Ghanima said cheerfully as the students arrived. "So speaks both Sun Tzu, and history. It is only one who is thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war that can thoroughly understand the profitable way of carrying it on."

Thus, though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays. )

It was only the third week of class and already Hardison was pulling the movie day. A movie day where the Danger Shop wasn't programmed into anything more exciting than a movie theater with sofas and beanbag chairs. He felt guilty but if you kids had any idea how much of a pain in the butt it was, keeping Chaos from trying to destroy civilization with a keyboard and a neckbeard...

"So, a coupla you wanted to find out what it's like behind the scenes of a movie," Hardison said, blinking sleepily at class. "This ain't nothin' like that, but it's a funny movie from, like, a million years ago an' it's the closest I could get to tyin' it into class." He yawned. Hugely. "So, here, we gonna watch it an' next week we'll be off doin' somethin' amazin'. Promise."

And then he was flinging himself into a beanbag and nodding off.
