It was a lazy Sunday morning, so Face was doing what he did best on lazy Sunday mornings, working very hard behind the desk.

With his eyes closed. It was an efficiency technique.

Jono was looking… well, excited again, this week, as the class gathered to wait for their portal.

//We're going to be going out to see another natural inspiration,// he said, giving the group something like a smile as he rocked, once, from heel to toe. //From up above, this time around. We've booked a plane, which I'll be flying - don't worry, I can actually do that - and we'll be doing a fly-over of yet another volcano, and the lake that owes its very unique chemical properties to its proximity.//

Hannibal gave Jono an amused look. )

Today, Clint had the students meet him in the Danger Shop, where he'd made a beach that was a little warmer, sunnier, and different looking than what Fandom could offer.

"Since you guys seem to be pretty good swimmers, I thought we'd take today to try some snorkeling. I have wetsuits if anyone wants one, but the water's pretty nice, so you really just need your very attractive mask." Clint showed them how to work the mask and tube and then waved them off towards the water. "You can enjoy the sights or just swim around, whatever works for you today. Just enjoy yourselves."

I believe it is best for our purposes and peace of mind if we simply cancel this class-- Obi-Wan rehearsed in his head. It couldn't be unheard of at this school, surely, cancelling a class over personal dignity concerns? I believe that if we wish to retain our collective dignity...

He pinched the bridge of his nose. This was a disaster.

... a disaster which he actually shouldn't tempt by standing around the classroom until the students showed up.

He rushed inside for the desk. Pen. Datapad. There had to be some kind of writing implement in here, didn't there?

The clock ticked down until class time. Two more minutes. Still no pen. One more minute. Still no implement. Surely--

It was a full two minutes after class time came about that he finally found the pen, and held it up triumphantly... only to find himself facing his class.

And a sudden cascade of anchovies raining down from the sky.

"This is beginning to annoy me."

[Class #5 - The Down Low Job]

Class met up at the Portalocity office again this week, and without much ado stepped through onto a path in front of an unassuming cave entrance.

"We've been doing a lot of water stuff lately to try to beat the heat," Eliot said, as he unpacked a crate full of varying sized tan jumpsuits and helmets with headlamps on them. "So this week we're going with something different. Temperatures underground are between 50-55 degrees fahrenheit all year round, no matter what it's doing outside. So it should be a nice break from all the baking we've been doing back in Fandom."

“Hope you took us seriously about the boots. And the leggings,” Parker added, looking delighted. She calmed down a little and said, “Helmets are non-optional this week. And if you have claustrophobia or nictophobia, we need to hear about it now. We’re not traumatizing anyone in this class.”

"Anyone who can't or won't go into the cave can hang out out here. This land is a nature preserve, with lots of hiking trails and trees and things. So you can still have some nice outdoor fun even if you're not going underground." Eliot hoped everyone would be up for going underground. If anyone didn't, he'd stay behind with them, but he was rather looking forward to going into the cave. "If you get in there and suddenly realize you're claustro- or nictophobic and you just didn't know it yet, let one of us know and we'll make sure you get back out."

“Take your cameras! You should be able to get some good photos. And follow the safety rules, this is not the place to take risks. There’s no buried treasure-- that we know of--” Hope sprang eternal. “But there are still snacks afterward.”

"So, without further ado," Eliot said, once everyone had a helmet and jumpsuit. "Whiting's Neck Cave."
