Today's class was instructed (yes, already, on day one) to meet on the Causeway, where they were going to be catching a portal. Their teachers were already standing there waiting for them; Jono in his usual leathers, Hannibal as impeccably dressed as always. Once a headcount had been done to ascertain that everyone who was coming to class today had arrived, they were ushered through without much preamble, into a queue on the other side, where it was just prior to sunset. It was there that their teachers started to talk.

When the students arrived in the classroom, they would find no teacher, because their teacher wasn't aware he had a class to teach, and he had in fact packed up and left for Tatooine some two days ago. For five minutes, this situation remained as it was: an ordinary classroom, no teacher, and no sign of that changing any time soon.

Then it changed.

There was a bright, piercing flash of light.

There was the sudden, loud smack of a playground's worth of sand hitting the floor.

There was a bearded Jedi, looking very surprised, accompanied by two strange animals, equally surprised.

"Ah," said Obi-Wan.

Rooh made a noise.

"Would anyone," Obi-Wan said slowly, "Tell me where I am and what we are doing here... if it isn't too much of a bother...?"

Clint had hoped that the name of the class would give everyone a hint that they'd be meeting out on the beach each week, but just in case, he'd also sent out handwavey messages to tell everyone where to meet. When it looked like everyone had arrived, he gave them all a wave."Hey guys. I'm assuming everyone who's here is signed up for Beach Fitness. If you're not, I don't really mind so feel free to stick around if you want to. For those of you I haven't met, I'm Clint Barton, and I'll be your teacher, although I expect this to be more fun than a whole lot of me lecturing at you like a real teacher. To start us out, I wanted to get an idea of what kind of shape everyone's in."

Clint pointed out four orange cones that had been set up in the sand, two by where they were gathered and two farther down the beach. "This is just a basic 100 meter run, but if you've never run in sand before, you might find it different than your typical run around town. I want everyone to take a turn and see how fast you can run it, and then you can hang out in the water when you're done. Once everyone's finished, we can do introductions. Hopefully you're not tired of that yet." If they were, well, traditions were important.
