Today the scenery in the dangershop was finally different. Instead of a bland warehouse, it was a bland box canyon in the ass end of space. Awesome, right?

Which meant there was a lot more room to fight. Or not fight. Possibly question your life choices.

Once laps were done and armor put on, the teacher was ready to begin the lesson. Might wanna use the term loosely, though.

"Today we'll be switching things up," Washington said. "You now have bases to work out of instead of a killing floor everywhere. The goal today will be to capture the enemy's flag."

Which was a thing that made sense in warfare.

Damn it, Halo.

"And to make things interesting, blue team will have a tank."

Hope one of you knew how to use a tank with a surly AI system inexplicably named Sheila.

"I'll keep an eye on things in case anyone gets any ideas about cheating." Whether or not he'd stop them was left up in the air.

Should the students be worried that the Danger Shop that now looked like a forest? Probably, especially when Anakin looked so pleased about everything, which was never, ever a good sign.

Indeed, it would appear Anakin had won this week's class coin toss-- or Obi-Wan was just remarkably good at hiding a smirk behind his beard. (He was. He really was.) "Today," he said, "We thought we would familiarize you with the axe."

"Specifically the battle axe," Anakin said, "but as we are not stupid people who immigrated from the Outer Rim last week, we are not going to have you hacking at actual people. Thus, trees."

Oh, your poor shoulders. Preemptively.

"While it is not quite the same as wielding one in battle, it will give you a chance to get used to the weight and heft of such a weapon," Obi-Wan said. He glanced towards Anakin. "In the spirit of friendly competition, we will be keeping tally of how many trees you manage to fell."

"The winner does not have to run a lap around the pretend Preserve!" Wow, Anakin, what an amazing prize.

"...We are still debating what the winner will receive," Obi-Wan said. Pointedly.

Anakin gave him a grin in return. "Physical activity is important."

"Let's see how the students do with this particular exercise first, shall we?"

And then if they weren't tired enough yet, they could make them run laps. Honestly, Anakin.

"Lady Ghanima has been unavoidably detained," Anakin told the class, arriving fresh from his "let's have students chop things up with axes" lesson. "Today I will be teaching instead. You will be doing a cross-fit routine called the Murph."

Sorry, class. So, sooooo sorry.

"First, you will run a mile," Anakin said. "Then you will perform 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats and then you will run another mile."

And want to die. Of fun! Possibly only if you were Anakin. "This routine is named in honor of a military veteran named Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. It was his favorite routine."

Anakin held up body armor vests with a bright smile on his face. "If the initial challenge seems too easy, you may add these 20 lbs vests."
