The students should be getting used to the Danger Shop setup by now. "I feel like you guys have pretty much got the hang of going in a straight line," Brian said, "so this week we're going to integrate corners." Yes, that was right. You were going to have to turn. "Let's go over how the steering wheel works again." Once he'd done that, he said, "So, you're going to go around the block and back to here, which means our quarter mile is now a mile. Right turns only this week, and there are two things enforcing that: One, all the other intersections are blocked off with traffic barrels, and two, if you manage to go through the traffic barrels, same as a crash, you'll be taken back to the starting line to start over." The barrels were progammed to be full of water, with a brief delay between hitting them and being transported back to the beginning, because Brian thought exploding them was kind of fun.

"Any questions?" After a brief pause, Brian nodded and said, "Then let's get started. Drivers, to your cars."

Hardison was in a much better mood this week, clapping his hands together once to get the class's attention and smiling at them when they looked over. "So, welcome to Week Two of your Doomsday Scenario. Last week's class went over really well--so well that you managed to knock off two of the potential problems I was gonna throw at you. Hardison is so proud of y'all! )

That took care of pretty much everything he had on his agenda to report, so he nodded at them. "Doesn't look like anything too terrible is happenin'. You might wanna start thinkin' about your livin' space an' what it means, what you should do with it, but that's all on y'all. As always, I'mma be over with my laptop, waitin' for you to come over an' tell me your plans for next week. Let's keep it up, y'all! Keep beatin' me at my own game!"

One of Cosette's favorite things about her library shift was checking the book return dropbox to see what sorts of subjects or stories people had been reading about. (Yes, it was weird, shut up.)

Who knew there were that many books on advanced techniques for building with popsicle sticks? She kept flipping through them out of sheer curiosity, taking her time walking through the stacks to reshelve them, but every now and then she had to pause and step out of the way of the small conga line of dance books that kept winding their way around various shelves.

They seemed to be having fun, and not making a mess, so she'd let them carry on for now, at least.

Like last week, Cara was holding class in her office again.

"I hear that the island has a sense of humour and decided to follow up last class with one of those weekends." Which was all she was going to say about last week's class and anything that might have happened in it. "Which means you get to spend this class talking about your feelings about your weekends. If you changed, were you expecting what you can remember about that version of yourself, do you want to avoid or embrace that fate. If you didn't, do you think there were any implications there about your future?"

"Alternatively, you can head down to the salle to punch things for the rest of class." She knew which she tended to pick.

Class today was to meet in the Danger Shop; when they got there, they'd find themselves in a bright little gazebo on a sunny day, though there was an odd fog concealing the landscape

"Welcome!" Bob grinned. "We could probably have done this outside, but...well, the safety protocols seemed like a good idea." And then he'd gotten a bit creative.

"Today, you've got a different sort of equipment." Which Anders had probably noticed was suspiciously light as he carried the box from Portalocity. Bob waved at the box, inside of which were brightly coloured life-vests. "Everybody put one on, and then your task for the day is to race to the other gazebo exactly like this one on the far side of the room. Doctor Lecter kindly was nagged into donated chocolates for you all to share once you arrive. Winner gets the best choices," he pointed out.

"Winner won't necessarily be the fastest, though" he said, grinning. "You've also got to find your way there." He gestured and the fog lifted, to show a hedge wall several stories high. "The hedges form a maze. You'll have to think to get through it. Oh," he added as if in afterthought, "and it's three-dimensional. So you'll want to work on your flying."

He smiled at them all. "Any questions?"
