Pinkie Pie was wearing a space suit. And apparently actually floating around the room, today. What was a little gravity between friends, really?

"Hihi, everypony!" she greeted, and did a gleeful little somersault in mid-air.

"Don't ask. Just. Don't ask," Derek added with a sigh. His life was so hard. "We're doing a theme today."

And by 'we' he meant 'she'.

So, you know, basically business as usual.

"The theme is spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!" Pinkie said. "Or science! Or time travel! Or aliens! Or --" this could be awhile.

"Sci-fi," Derek chimed in quickly. Because, yes, that could go on forever. "We got edible glitter for it." FEAR, KIDS. FEAR.

Pfffft. Pinkie brought edible glitter for everything.

"So be creative and use your imaginaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatioooooooooooooooooons," Pinkie said, spreading her front hooves and spinning slowly in the air in time to the elongated vowel sounds. "Look, I made a space cake!" She held the cake up sideways. It slowly started to slide off its plate.

Derek could only stare in a sort of horrified fascination with the trainwreck that was about to happen. Also, he wasn't getting his shirt cakey, thank you very much.

The cake slid of the plate with an interesting schlorp sort of noise and splattered, liberally coating Pinkie in sparkly midnight blue icing. She didn't even blink.

"Yay space!"
